Ive always viewed Church as something that has lost its values. I still believe that people dont know the true meaning of religion, they just view it as a social thing, not a spiritual thing.

I kinda believe in God. The Bible is very strange and mystical and if you read between the lines I think that there is a lot of truth to it. I have searched for alternate explanations for the universe and have found them all empty.

I'm not into the church so much, because it's kinda corrupt.

it is possible tripping will change many of your `beliefs` about god.
view it as a growth, evolving, a few steps further along the journey.
also, `beliefs` are kinda dangerous, it is a locked down concept and by definition cannot be altered. it limits you and does not allow you to grow and learn.
organised religion feeds on sustaining beliefs.
it is better to view your beliefs as ideas. ideas can be added to and improved, beliefs just become a burden.
i think organised religion has its place....milk for babes, meat for adults. think of it as the spiritual equivalent of training wheels for your bicycle. its just you have to get over the idea you need training wheels for your whole life.
i thought surely christians dont tout the old man in the sky myth these days, but i was recently blessed with the visitation of 2 young mormons, freshly squeezed pimples an` all. they told me god was an old man with a long white beard. i asked em if god`s shit stank. stumped.
finally, i should point out 1 of my friends tripped almost daily for a year and saw christ (her words) she now belongs to an evangelist born-again cult and thumps her bible mercilessly. works both ways, i guess.

I used to be really into christianity and going to church and all that. Then I stepped back and took a long look at everything, most of the people were either concerned wholly with money or power/recognition. I decided it wasn't what I wanted to be involved in, and it wasn't just one church, it was a good number of them, and different faiths as well. Then I started doing the bulk of my tripping, because I kinda lost my bearings on life without having sight of my spirituality. Then after almost killing myself a few times (not suicide but stupidity) I found a new path and found its more for me. I sort of beleive in God, but not in the christian sence of it all. I think what ever works for an individual is the path he should take, and I respect just about everyones spiritual path, except when one of the afore mentioned things are a part of that path (greed, power, money, etc.)

in my opinion religions are all an exspresion trying to put into words the intense things our bodys know..
to limit them into an understandable string of words for humans to converse with and share about.
to "exspand" outside of the mind..
when really if we exspanded deep enough inside then we wouldnt need words.. if we could overcome internal limitations to get rid of such primal things as speach.
it can only convery 30% of real meaning if only , in my opinion.
err sorry i got so side tracked.
but with religions.. there all about the same things.
a unification eventualy.
but with added government issues it becomes more.
control comes into picture and people want you to do things to achieve this equality universaly.
things cannot be achieved through other peoples constant bableing mind wars.
only through your own.
and only inside yourself will you find the strenth to reach out and really find "god" (conveyed into terms to be understood)

i think tripping will sort of take you away from what youve been tought to be god. as you learn of your own vision and your own light..
there all actualy the same thing/person/place/feeling.
just its diferent to diferent people.. the way things were taught into a systematic body can have alot to do with views..

" artistic people trip in art
religious people trip in limitation
writters trip in words
and musicians trip in music"

art.. and music are the two most exspandable in my views.
but as said before you need to find your own place.. so therefore you can comply with others "places"

your own words tell you your ready to try.
your own sub-concious is reaching out of its shell and questioning..
your thinking about doing something life altering.. and its possibilities.
well let me tell you a quote.
"If you are frightened of the end and your holding on you see devils tearing your life away but if you've made your peace then the devils are really angels freeing you from the earth.."

if you let go of the fear it will result in an evolution
and evolution begins to bring about acceptance and acceptance brings about learning how to control things in a sea of inifinite possibilites.

so in my opinion from what little ive heard from you.. you seem ready.
but you should only listen to yourseld deep within for a true answer..

good luck
