Decided not to post this pic because it is so shitty and all the mushrooms are stacked on top of each other and shit.I was pretty sketched out after we started picking and started filling up the bag. Then out of no where when me and my buddy were on our bellies buried in the deep grass with a hand full of azzies we heard Oregon State Police, get up. Turned out to be some dudes we saw when we parked the car. They were cool and doing the same thing we were. Felt almost greedy so I left with a few hours of day light left and around 190 grams dried :cool:.

The swine flu kicked my ass this last week so I didn't go out at all.  I was so tired that I didn't even make it out yesterday.

Today I went to the store and on the way home took a 3 minute walk through my local park...  I love that I educated a bunch of teens on not stomping/raping the pins around the park because right in the spot that I pointed pins out to them was a pretty healthy flush.  I nabbed a handful inside of my 3 minute walk and started to dry em already, but didn't take any pictures this time.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share...  I'm blown away at not just how huge this season is but also the fact that educating other hunters actually paid off.  :grin:

I'll probably go out on long hunt this coming weekend and will post pictures of the haul.

another good way to gather spores is to put the mushrooms in a salad spinner after washing them.
rub the caps with your thumb if they are covered in spores and let them go in the water.
the water that washes the gills will also be full of spores.

I pour the water from washing and the salad spinner into a bottle and dump it on my next forage.

i've also heard of a few people making prints right on their hunting clothes :awesome:

After they are dry I reckon I will end up with a 1/4 It was just nice to get out and do some decent huntin, I took some pictures bit I gotta get em off my friends camera she forgot to bring the cord

This is the 3rd season i have been picking and it has been ridiculous! The other day i went to visit my mother in olympia for her birthday, and i went for a walk in the park across the street from her house and found a huge patch of cyans. then the next morning i went for another walk at the church by her house and in the first ten minutes i found another huge patch. (it was about 630 in the morning and and there was about 20 high school kids waiting for the bus about 10 feet from me at the time but i figured what the hell and picked them) Then we drove up to Tacoma so my mom could get her hair did and i opted to wait in the car and read, but for some reason i decided to take a walk around the block instead and i found a huge grass field out behind some store fronts and low and fucking behold i found the most gorgeous patch of cyans i've ever seen. So i found about 40 or so caps before noon that day. I felt very cool. Then i popped a couple fresh caps, we went to the Seattle art Museum and went to the  Michealangelo  Exhibit. It was Fan freakingtastic. I LOVE the pacific northwest!

One good thing about that park is that so many people pay attention to that main wood chip area that they just leave the rest of the park unpicked. :penis:


That is sad to hear, the same shit is going on where I live people have been fucking up every last spot that I know. Just the other day I checked on a spot and there was a decent amount of pins, walk by the next day to take a look and my guess was correct they were all gone. Also some park workers fucked up this trail I know of which had so many cyans along the sides of the path, they killed so many :mad:
