Nah man, most of us don't really care if you post an inactive in the context he did. It's when people post for ID requests that the problem exists. We post pics of lacs all the time when it's caerulescens season so no real harm done.

God I love the gills on that middle picture. Gonna be my first year knowing about ovoids and looking for them. I found my first weilii last year after researching here.

Very excite!

Another new spot. Mulch path again along river bank. A little tardy for most of these.

Lots of wine caps out as well in same habitat

Nice mushies guys!  Spent all day yesterday and miles along one of the rivers near me with nothing to show for it. Still  haven’t ran across any mulch paths along the river banks, at least the park/spots that I have been hunting.  Tis the season, so it’s gonna happen!!!!

These are all from natural habitat without any help from mulch or anything.

Literally fruiting in open field about around 50 meters or so from river bank. I know I've passed them up plenty of times limiting my search only to the huge wood debris piles. Getting lazy with the photos but they were everywhere hidden beneath the grass. Only noticed them along the edge, though its hard to navigate to middle of field filled with thorns.

Box elder log

Also caught two ticks crawling on me

Sweet!  I might have passed some by myself.  Been limiting to debris piles as well.  Good call and sweet in vitro log.  Since there isn’t annoying mosquito flying around rn I’ve been getting lazy with the bug spray, but screw those ticks.  I’ve had over 60 pin-sized ones on me at one time.  talk about itching for weeks...

I fucking love wine caps...
:homerdrool:

I find them in the same habitat as my local woodlovers also. Best edible I have tasted to date.

Gills on voids look so gnarly

And oh man wish I would've known. I'll be sure to grab a few next time i come across them and try for myself.

I love the smell of them also. I have had NZ grown Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata.
I think they smell like sunflower seeds!

They are about as potent as Psilocybe subaeruginosa also, they are very powerful.
