i know a log out win the woods here that is filled with cubensis .. its off onto another trail that heads up the river. and their are some stuntsii or baeos along the log too so its a double feature. but its off season for the batch i was following. dumbasses think smashing them will make them grow more.. but it fucks it up that way.. they should just let them die off and drop what they need to drop to grow more..  Stay up buddy

Good question!

I can't imagine, that it's really Cubes.
Cubes, Baeos and Stuntzii don't grow in the same climatic region and in addition, Cubes don't grow from wood.

You're probably mistake some other species for Cubes, Shroomboss420...

Ah, OK, found that out...

im in sultan washington.. in snoho county.

It's pretty much definitely something else than Cubes...

Lots of new pins coming up in my area.  Picked a few guys this morning.  That one pin was crushed from being stepped on so don't flame me.

Yeah I'll say, I found about 65 good size cyan's today working in a garden on lake washington today. Gotta love places that have their own private waterfront, makes for nice lake controlled microclimates
That's my first decent find of the season so it's kind of a relief lol. I was beginning to get worried.

Yup yup I've made all my major finds within 50 yards of water. This is my first year as a collector, though.

First Finds [Re: freespeech]
    #11481815 -

My first ever find.
The patch is in a local park.  It was quite a relief after searching the last couple weeks.
Getting the first one out of the way is good.  To any one struggling to find their first
just keep on looking, that is all you can do.  I have to thank shroomery for all the knowledge I have gained recently.
The next day my friend found a nice patch of significantly larger specimens right next to a sprinkler.  There are a good amount of pins in both patches, so their should be some more good pics.

Nice! I had my first ever find this year too. I've since found several patches and also learned which local parks are frequented by other pickers and are usually just stumps and pins. So far, my best luck has been in the vicinity of bodies of water. Just something to keep in mind - I don't know if it means anything :yesnod:

I need to learn how to ID libs. I only do cyans. all the ones in the pic are cyans. the yellow is from them drying a bit.

Good find! But the next time you should wait for them to mature little more. There's plenty of fruits in this picture, that didn't really have a chance to spread their spores:stoned:
