(1) People post the word God at the shroomery everyday.
(2) Therefore, the word God exists.

For a being that may not exist, it gets a lot of press like in posts here, "Proof of Gods Existance"

During sex, "Oh God..... YES!"

When people get pissed, "God dammit"

When people get suprised, "OH My GOD!"

When people are in danger, "God save me"

When people don't want something to happen or be true "God no it can't be"

When people sneeze, "God Bless You."

but... hindu thought says that each of us is god, or a part of god, which i think most can agree on. so if we look within ourselves this idea should be as obvious as whether we are boy or girl.

I didn't intend for that to be taken too seriously. But to clarify, there are certain definitions of "God" that I've explicitly stated I understand and agree with, e.g., archetypal templates of cognitive enlightenment. Although, personally, I'd just drop the "g" word altogether and simply approach it from a scientific, objective basis.

Beyond that, I am definitely an Atheist. I've made a thread comparing Atheism vs Agnosticism some time ago - might be worth your time checking out.

I'm not touching that with my fork until you answer the most intriguing question of all; "Why"?, as in, "Why is whatever one has loved God?". "How is it that love is inherited from God?". etc. etc.

Please, don't act as though you are proposing some amazing thought that must be accepted without elaboration and demonstration. :smirk: You haven't defined the term "God", you haven't outlined the mechanics responsible for this inheritance from God, you haven't explained how it is that anyone that has been loved is God. Your thought is admist an endless, abymsal, unforgiving sea of unassociated thoughts that do not exist as any sort of observation of reality. :wink:

HAHAHAHA. those were always my favorite!!! Mormons have this passage )forgot which one at the moment) which your supposed to read and God is supposed to "answer" you for his proff of existence. Thus you can never really argue with a mormon because they have personally expeienced God.

Now I do agree somewhat. Most of these people have indeed experienced God, but our egos identify God with our experiences and thus we label it with characteristics and identify it with religion....

But yeah, I guess it depends on what you are refering to, God the popularized Christian omnipotent being or God as in "the label."

True, that thought is too abstract for anyone that isnt me to really follow along with. Also it came entirely from my own beliefs, so really its just there to be compared with your own beliefs and be agreed with or not.
