How many quarts of spawn are you guys using per brick of coir these days?

I'm about to spawn some tubs and I'm not sure if I wanna do three 7qt tubs or four 5qt tubs

I only have three tubs right now... but I'm gonna buy more soon anyway

bod mentioned this grow looked to wet. the fruits grew to decent size but they bent over.
i noticed the same thing with aa+ when i did another grow but with much smaller fruits.


i guess im wondering if this is genetic or conditions?

Could be a bit of both. I find with fruit development it's often a combo of lots of factors.

The mushrooms that are tipping over as they mature probably have a mutation commonly seen in true albino mushrooms.  IIRC mushrooms switch from a geotropic to phototropic response as spores mature and the cap starts to open.

Does this cube myc look bacterial? I ask not because I see anything that looks like bacteria on the plate but because of the thick root-like looking sectors.

Heres my question: Have any of u guys grown from a spore print, then continued to grow from spore prints from the previous spore prints, just to see what happens? If so, how many generations did u grow and what happened?

Sorry I don't have a pic to show it, BUT I have had cultures with a really nice leading edge. I take a couple transfers to new plates only to have them look well translucent and almost non existent. I have always tossed them and snagged another transfer from the previous plate. It just looks well weak and sick as it doesn't grow nice white mycelium like one would expect. Any ideas what is happening??

Did you change media or stay the same?
Sometimes not changing media can cause problems. Sometimes a new media can too. And they otherwise might work just fine other times.
I would switch the media up and see if it helps as a first try
