Not dropping spores is measurable, but what about the potency? I've never eaten them, but I hear and read of more powerful trips.
I'm very interested in this cultivar of cubensis. I've read it came from Terrence McKenna, Steven Pollock, or some random grower in the 90s. I choose to believe it's the G13 of cubes: Grown by the CIA to use in experiments, and some brave soul took tissue to agar and vanished.

What are some of your favorite types of mushrooms to grow, and why? It can be a variety/type of cubes, or some other species all together.

oysters are always fun come spring and fall. drop a wedge in a few grain jars. pour some boiling water over some hardwood fuel pellets in a bag. mix em together put outside cut slits 10 days later
get tons of free oyster mushrooms

So I just made moves to a new house and in the process I noticed some minor damages to the fins on my HEPA filter. The damage is very minor, just some fins bent a tiny bit here and there and fortunately the majority of damaged fins are on the inside half of the filter. How will this damage effect my laminar flow and at what degree would the damage to the fins become problematic? Should I bother attempting to repair the bent fins and if so, how should I go about it?

bent folds an a hepa filter can be very bad as it will create small rips. Look it over very well and if you see any damage goober on some silicone or hot glue over that area and once dry you should be good.

What are the best temps for oysters/kings? for primordia and the fruit body development?

Depends on the strain or species. Most oysters like the 50-60s

This is the first time i've ever seen aeriel myc this aggressive. I feel like it wants for something, perhaps water or nutrients?

It shot right up through the verm casing layer and formed this canopy of pillows (primordia?). Should i throw more casing ontop of it?
edit: here was a pic of it 100% colonized in a jar. Mazatapec cube

Plain verm and plain coir casings usually produce mycelium looking like that.

I have to disagree with the plain verm part Bod. That is all I use and I don't get that.

Of course i have no verm ones to show right now

Should be easy to tell which ones are cased with coir. And which ones have no casing. All the tubs are shoeboxes with coir and oat spawn. All pe6 from the same LC
I would get the same phenomenon with verm as well
It probably depends a lot on how loose its applied too. Patted down it doesn't happen. Applied loose i almost always see it like the fingers like that.
Here's a side view of one i did as just cased grains (I made a bunch of tubs all spawned differently for the fuck of it)

i have like 8 other trays, all using the same casing and sub. Only common denomenator between the "pillow-top" trays seems to be the cube; mazatapec. It had lots of aeriel myc both when in grain jars and when in fruiting trays, so its hard for me to accept that this is purely because of the sub (CVG) and/or casing recipes which i've made no changes to in many months. but if you find no cause for concern, then neither will i. thanks bod

Well i did say usually. As always there's things not playing by any rules. But that growth pattern seems to go hand in hand with specific casings. Yours is a lot more pillow like too. Which is probably culture related

I have a theory that it can be triggered by bacteria in the substrate.
