-For simplicity of FC, I believe it was the chosen one that mentioned keeping them on the kitchen counter covered with a plastic bag and misting occasionally

This might depend on your culture, or multi-spore luck of the draw, but most drop pretty well IME. RH and FAE play a role as well but I've been able to collect even in sub par conditions.
The conditions for these were optimal at the time. You can see how the spores cover the caps on a few and even carry like cubensis do. They're even visible on some of the gills.
