Little bit of condensation I'm not to thrilled about but will put this jar to some bulk straw//compost and see what happens. Had a few unsuccessful runs already-might just be my culture.

That doesn't look too bad at all. I've found some cultures just do that more than others, even if no bacteria is present (I have checked under the microscope). Keep us posted!

Also on a separate note from cultivation - zaps appear to print lightly.

Nice thread, thanks for starting this Hindsight! I'll add a couple of things here: -For simplicity of substrate, it's tough to beat top fruited PF jars. I've managed to induce pinning with cased jars kept in a lidded, unmodified shoebox, unsnapping the lid and misting a couple of times daily. -For simplicity of FC, I believe it was the chosen one that mentioned keeping them on the kitchen counter covered with a plastic bag and misting occasionally -For healthy wild-type fruits, I've had my best results in a martha style GH, with fogging/venting cycles, slow air movement, and enough slow evaporation off the casing layer to require daily hand misting -in my experience, issues with aborting can be minimized by screening genetics and finding cultures that are forgiving to work with
Here's a top-fruited PF jar that was grown in the GH:

Look forward to seeing some more experimentation; I think there are many methods for rockin' the zaps!

Great looking fruits! Did you use CVG or a peat moss recipe to case the colonized jar before introducing FC?

Thanks! Casing was probably some variation of the following: 50% verm, 25% cactus soil, 25% of either peat or coir.

Cookie jars man! Anything it takes. Jars in jars even..

But a GH is best.

My Zaps hit the lid of my bubble chamber about a week or so ago, so they have been growing out like a bonsai tree since then. Cool looking, but my new bubble chamber is taller so I won't run into this again. Still waiting for spores.....

I really love the texture of Zapotecorum's stems. They look like little rainforest tree mushrooms.

Awesome Pics!
I have some MSS on Agar and a culture I got from a good dude that I'm cleaning up. Can't wait to join the club.

This might depend on your culture, or multi-spore luck of the draw, but most drop pretty well IME. RH and FAE play a role as well but I've been able to collect even in sub par conditions. The conditions for these were optimal at the time. You can see how the spores cover the caps on a few and even carry like cubensis do. They're even visible on some of the gills.
