I really don't know guys.  I didn't pick them either.  Photo op really.
Here is the same find different shot:

Could be Hypholoma dispersum.

Quote:
I thought, at first, that these were P. cyanofibrillosa, but they didn't bruise, so I've concluded they must be a strange (to me) Hypholoma.

These are probably Hypholoma dispersum.

Found a patch today at a park near my house about 5 minutes into the day.  Well used place, but in a perfect location to harvest in peace.  Left all the pins and covered everything...  Will be saving spores and hopefully spreadin' tha luv!

Will load habitat pics if I can get them off my phone.  Camera is rather bulky to carry on a hunt.

Good luck all!

Ha ha. The stuff is already too visible. I can just see a little index card on a toothpick saying "Please be moderate and respectful of the FREE AWESOME DRUGS that are growing RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE by considering the life cycle of this complex organism. Come back another day to collect up to 12% more psilocybin from this secret spot."

No habitat shots its kinda weird to take them after 8 am cause all the students come out and im kneeling pickin mushrooms literally 4 feet from a path on a mound so i am kinda the center of attention. No problems yet tho. I selected two of the top models for glamour shots:cool: this is 1/6 of whats comin in also!

Ohhh baby i looove that bluing on the cap margin.

So, I was driving down I-5 heading to my hometown for the weekend, and while driving 65mph I glance to my right and see a nice looking park. For whatever reason, I could feel the presence of p. cyan, so I quickly pulled off at the next exit, and checked out the park. Looked around for fifteen minutes until I nearly stomped three nicely matured cyans... Further investigation revealed an extensive system of small patches at the base of trees. Thank god for all these environmentalists who want to "save" the natural habitat by replanting native trees, they always seem to pick woodchips for a good base.

I believe the mushrooms speak louder than we all think.

I tend to find most of my patches through a strange sensation which I can only describe as magical.

Inspired by sacred_mushroom's emoticon, we went out into the dark rain and walked to our favorite woodchip'd hillside. As soon as I saw the cyans underfoot, I felt the lust take over. Our jaws dropped as we shone our flashlight at the abundance around. We picked and picked and picked and picked. Our cups full, I had to take a breath and tell myself that there's no need to be greedy. We left plenty of mature mushrooms behind and walked home, happy with our haul.
