If it is so pointless, then why are people finding 4 different species of psilocybes RIGHT NOW....

And a month ago.

I have taken pics of about 50 species of mushrooms since I joined this site a couple weeks ago, but havent found any psychadelic ones yet.

I found some Wooly Boletus, about 100 of them, and was super confused cause they were staining blue, but big ass mushrooms with foam under the cap, and I was like, "whoa, what is this thing", but it turned out it wasnt an awesome mushroom haha.

Soon I hope I find it in me to capture that of which I strive to find.

Come on guys! I want to see some caramel top pictures!

I care more about my pictures than I do about picking!

Most of the people finding actives have no pics!!!

Cell phone pics are better than nothing....

I agree, this thread needs MOAR pics!

here's a few pins from a couple days ago...

Keep talking about the weather and your posts may get deleted....

I don't care, just a fair warning that it is against the rules.

went on a walk this morning and found these! not many, but I'm not going to complain about finding a new spot. the one in the 2nd photo was already picked and just sitting there. it looks like someone picked it and then put it back? kind of confused about that. no one else was at the park, though, so I figure it's fair game..oh, and sorry about the photos. camera was about to die so I had to snap these quickly.

Nice! I've seen Cyans popping all over my area in grassy margin zones that hold moisture well, but not so much in straight wood chips yet.

Very Nice!

Here are my updates:

10/13/2009 Psilocybe cyanescens

10/13/2009 Psilocybe baeocystis

And Letustrip is right so far. I have seen no patches in straight woodchips, but a few that are covered in grass or vines.

Except for the baeos, but they were sprinkled.

here's some pics i took about an hour ago.
i would have taken better ones but didn't want to draw too much attention from the passersby.
good sized patch, tons of pins hiding everywhere. can't wait for more rain!

Just a side note:

Don't want to be rude, just a thought.
This thread is dedicated for PNW active finds.
Comments and questions are sometimes better suited for other threads.

Here's a great one currently discussing PNW actives, mainly cyans:

of course i love some of the comments on here, and have made some myself, but we should try and keep this thread potent

Were they growing through the dirt?
Or was there wood chips/debris?

looks like cyanescens are showin there faces everywhere!
I found these guys across the street about 200 feet from my house on my way home. I knew i decided to walk to school today for a reason

they are one foot from the curb and i ride my bike by them everyday.

its all about the grassy areas until the rains come, theres not much in woodchip beds.

a bunch of these around too.
