I might try a lemon tek using fresh mushrooms if that works… Might cut them into very small pieces, put them in a glass, add water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and drink away, then I'd smoke then go lay down and wait for the experience to begin…..

I really do want to shed my ego to the point where I spend the day meditating and it being the nicest thing to do… It's a personal goal of mine…..

I'm planning on dosing again this weekend on the nicest looking mushrooms which I'd pick only minutes before consuming…. Ah, I love Ballarat………..

You can buy a 95% Polish version over here called spirytus rektyfikowany. There’s quite a few stores that stock it or that can order it in if you ask.

This is hell interesting.
The nausea seems to always get me, no matter what way I've consumed. I have pure d-limonene but that's a proper solvent, would a drop of this be safe?

However, since we are on the subject I will add my bit.

Soak the finely cut mushrooms in the lemon, or better yet, lime juice for five to ten minutes before adding water to allow the chemical conversion of psilocin to psilocybin to take place.

I have personally found using dried mushroom instead of fresh to make tea will really help avoid getting nausea.
Also, it makes dose calculation much easier as you have a more consistent material to work with, no variable water content screwing your maths. Subs can very easily change weight depending on hydration levels.

Rehydrate dried and powdered material with lime or lemon juice before making a "tea" or "soup" to really make things work. I find a very intense and profound peak is achieved 15-30 minutes after consumption. Bear in mind, lemon tek will intensify your experience but reduce the duration of your trip.

To step it up another notch you can extend your trip duration by making a tea with Passiflora incarnata (passionfruit) leaf, a very safe, mild and short term MAOI, and consume 15 minutes before dosing on mushroom tea.
I've read that syrian rue seed is a stronger MAOI but have never tried it personally, it is a controlled substance in many states of Australia and therefore harder to find. Being stronger it is also more likely to have adverse effects.

WARNING: Any MAOI, especially stronger ones like syrian rue seed, can have serious adverse effects for those people taking certain medications, especially antipsychotics and antidepressants, as it changes the way the brain and body process certain chemicals.
It can also affect people with dormant mental illness or those who have had prior mental disturbances for the exact same reason. I strongly suggest reading up on them before using.

Get your desired dose in grams
Blend in a coffee grinder ($10 from Kmart)
Put ice cold lemon water or orange juice in a nutribullet
Blend that up with your mushroom powder and drink it.

If you use freshly picked and dried mushrooms trip takes 10-15 to start your journey.

Just curious, about 2 weeks ago I took about 15 fresh subs without weighing them due to the scales being really shit and not working probably. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of how much this could have weighed, roughly... They weren't anything spectacular maybe slightly larger than a 50c piece. I know this is probably a dumb post but I'm kinda curious as to how much I actually took. Plus, any recommendations on scales I can buy in Melbourne? Good scales for weighing mushrooms(mainly subs)?

any scale that measures by 0.1 of a gram would be fine, you can get pocket scales on ebay that do this for $10 in Aus, most smokeshops have em too. As for the trip I'd say maybe close to 2 grams depends if they were stubby woodchip subs or bush subs, the weight varies greatly.

They were busy subs, still new to all this so it is probably a good idea to buy some scales for my next trip... Don't wanna over do it 😅

To get this thread back on topic after being hijacked...



First ever grass subs I’ve found, went for a quick walk and just as I find this patch I get drenched hence the terrible photo and only coming home with these.

The stems of these subs were so hard my nails couldn’t break them and I accidentally and regrettably pulled the mycelium on some. However, as a result of this they are the heaviest subs I’ve ever picked so I’m happy with my finds

Edit: Since getting home the stems have gone bluer than any other subs I’ve ever picked. These guys are crazy  :wowz:

I've been waiting for a few days of consecutive rain and it seems about the right time. Is the season still strong?
I have only gone hunting twice with a knowledgable person and only know one good spot in a park west.

I posted this the other day. I thought it was just another Sub with deformed cap. But after visiting the patch again and seeing more of the same it must be P Alutacea. Or is this just wishful thinking.

Yer the season is going strong and I think that over the next week or two it'll be really good (likely the best) time to find subs.

Went to a cut down pine plantation kinda near where I live and stumbled across these, I have no idea what they are as they’ve only just come up and I can’t get a really good look at the stem ect - anyone know?

What's deformed? I think it just looks like a normal sub
