If anyone is after a dehydrator Harris scare have one for $60 down from $120 with 5 trays best one I've found so far

Hi dude, Welcome to the shroomery.

We are all here to teach, learn and share but I recommend you (and several others who have previously posted and/or are following this thread) read the Forum rules and please learn to use the search bar at the top of this page. All the information is here if you take the time to look. In fact rule 5 below actually answers your question....

4. Do not ask about current finds in your area.
These posts have been flooding the forum for years. If you're curious about if mushrooms are growing in your area, get out there and look! Mushrooms don't read the books. Sometimes they fruit outside of season. There is no set date for any season, only vast generalisations. Your best bet is that if it's close to the season for the mushroom you are looking for and its been raining, you just might find some.

5. Do not make threads or posts discussing or reporting the weather.
This includes complaining about the weather, asking if the current weather is "good for shrooms", or how long to wait after rain fall to go hunting.  If it has rained within the last 1-10 days, and the temperatures are correct for the type of mushroom you're looking for, and the time of year is correct then it is certain that that the mushroom you are looking for is growing.

I really don't like being a thread nazi but a couple rules in particular are being seriously ignored and it's kinda starting to annoy me. I know it isn't intentional for the most part but we all need to toe the line or else the mods might shut this thread down

It's that whole "give a person a fish / teach a person to fish" idea around here :shrug:

One hint I will give is to read past "official Vic" threads and check out some of the current ID threads to get a good idea of what, where and when things are happening. It will help you become a better hunter and improve your ID's in the field :yesnod:

Nice one Waxyturtle.. where approx in Melb was that? I went for an extensive hunt today around inner east and northeast, nothing going on, saw a couple isolated inactives that's it, still feels like a couple weeks away here

That's awesome, blister. I hunt in pine plantations rather than bark beds, I never find such a concentrated cluster in the plantations but they spread out over large areas. my pic below was one of my largest finds in one area.
