They. What an obnoxious attitude where you think bernie was entitled to the nomination, and people who voted for other candidates have no agency - there just controlled by “them.”

Bernie lost because he was incapable of appealing to a majority of the electorate. It’s how the system works for everyone. Bernie doesn’t get special dispensations

The whole primary election concept has been horrible for this country. We let the most partisan members of the electorate decide who runs for president. the parties should pick their candidates the way it’s done in the rest of the civilized world. The populace is too stupid to make sound decisions.

He lost because the establishment media was against him, and that's what the majority of people still read.  We've had countless threads showing this to be true.

The fact that you're for the guy in cognitive decline rather than the guy who would help the working class proves how powerful the establishment media is.

What is it about Biden that I should like besides the fact that he's not Trump?

Biden is on the verge of only being able to drool, much less communicate, much much less lead a country.

Trump has my vote. And the vote of the entirety of rural America that watched the shit show of riots. And the vote of most of the military. And the vote of historians. And the vote of 40% of African Americans according to some numbers I saw yesterday. It's going to be winningest election ever and I didn't even cover a fraction of the voters Trump has secured.

He wants to close tax loopholes and use our taxes to provide a better standard of living for all Americans.

Someone wants to raise the military budget, they want to give the military 'free money' (taxes). Someone wants to raise the healthcare budget, they want to give away 'free money' (taxes) to the sick. Any budget expenditure is 'free money' with that logic. The money used for Trumps golfing excursions, that is also 'free money' (taxes).

Provide = Free stuff and dependencies. (Child-like existence)

Freedom = Time and space and opportunity to show the world what you are made of and what you have to offer. The opportunity to both fail and succeed by your own merits. (EDIT- because failure is still progress on the road to success)

Who wants to settle in life for handouts? May each man be responsible for his own life and happiness as the founders intended.

The spirit of America is rugged individualism, and I have zero faith any career politicians have the ability to provide for Americans anything close to the level of satisfaction in life one achieves by carving out their own existence and sustenance with their own blood, sweat, and tears.

The backbone of America is still family and farm, despite the narrative of the day.

The media doesn’t dictate who wins. Nobody received more negative coverage across the board than Donald Trump and he won. It’s just an excuse that makes you feel better, so you can avoid facing the reality that sanders failed.

Biden not being trump is enough

I recall saying that podcasts won't get anybody elected to anything in this country.

Not being Trump works well enough for me. President Biden won't be making too many decisions on his own. The people who influence him wont be suffering from cognitive decline, and that will result in significantly better leadership than we have now.

One other minor issue. The administration will be working to preserve women's reproductive rights, not eliminate them. As far as I can tell, that issue has been of zero concern to the people who call themselves progressives on this website.
