So Trump started off badly but he's making more sense every day...

If you listen to his hour long speeches and interview, the guy makes sense. I tried to be as critical as possible but he hits the nail on the head on many issues. Clearly he doesn't care about what the media will say. Then again most of what he says is exactly whats going on...
I dont know why people hate him so much. The truth hurts I guess

You can almost see the disdain and condescending contempt for him dripping from the mouth of the elite media.
I don't think he has a great chance, but I don't count him out entirely. The media says he can't win because he's from "show business". I seem to remember another candidate they said that about in the 80s'...
Also.. I CANNOT wait to see him on that debate stage with Christie and the other candidates. Say you what you want about him. The man doesn't pull his punches.

I actually could see him winning the Republican nomination, even though 75% of Republicans say they will 'never' vote for him! He's polling 2nd to Jebb right now. The votes will be spread so thin, that he certainly has a shot! lmao
I want to see Trump vs Sanders! Holy jesus, that would be amazing. Sanders would wrap this thing up in no time! I think the old man deserves a smooth down-hill ride to the POTUS seat, after battling Hillary.

Santorum and Gingrich last year bowed out by early May. The field will be down to 4 candidates at the most by the time primaries roll around.

Are you talking about the Republican field or both parties?
Either way, that's a lot to widdle down.

the republican field. Half of these guys are throwing their hat in there for free publicity and money to work towards something else or prime a real attempt in 4 years.
No way that someone like Jindal actually thinks he has a real chance and enough support to be taken seriously. Bush, Paul, Rubio, and _______. Where that blank will be filled by whoever emerges from the group of other candidates... like walker.

Currently Bush and Trump are the frontrunners by about double+ of other candidates.

The media is practically foaming at the mouth angry at trump. They do not want to see a candidate not approved by the big shots get the nomination. Paul will get the same treatment if he starts showing good poll numbers. That is what makes trump dangerous, they remember ross pea-rot who almost won but self destructed first.
Trump keeps making blunders so I doubt he will get it. The extreme left of course wants him to get the nomination so he would be an easy opponent for hitlery. Trump is in it for the publicity which he can turn into cash very easily later.

The way he talks, he's in it for America, not cash. Ever since he announced his candidacy he's been losing contracts here and there. No other candidates will lose so much of his personal money on this

I actually like a couple things Donald Trump says, but he can say them because he's not in it to win. For instance, he's against the trade deals that are ruining our country.
I find it funny that he might run against Hillary, when he's donated so much money to her in the past.

Watch what he does and pay little attention to what he says
>Ever since he announced his candidacy he's been losing contracts here and there.
He made a blunder about Mexicans, cost him something. He is about more publicity for personal reasons plus it makes his brand more valuable. He will make loads of money on tv shows, merchandising and branding unless he allows himself to become toxic with too many blunders.

Trump is like the kid who asks "why don't we just print more money to pay off the debt?"
He's talking about dismantling entrenched trade deals that would have massive repercussions.
Yes, Donald, let's "tax China." Then when the cost of goods skyrocket people in this country will revolt.

You're pro free trade? Wow, that's kindof surprising.

Bingo. They got a club, and he ain't in it. Trump is no Reagan. But you saw a very similar attitude with the media back then. Reagan was the "show business" outsider. A cowboy. Unsophisticated. They absolutely loathed him. Well he ended up being a two term president and very succcessful by most accounts.
As for Paul, he was already savagely attacked right out of the gate by the media and other candidates. I think he would do much better running as a Third Party candidate. Today's Republican party is loaded with warmongers. He will never make it out of there to the general election.

I agree with what you said about Ron Paul, however had he made it through the primaries, he would have been quite successful in the general election, though I doubt anyone could have overthrown Obama, honestly. Ron Paul did, in his extremism ironically enough, have views that both sides of the spectrum could get behind.
It took Reagan 3 campaigns before he won the POTUS seat, and it was one of the biggest mistakes the American people ever made.
Let's face it, Donald Trump isn't some outsider visionary. He's a self aggrandizing pompous asshole. I mean, he sues comedians for making jokes about that thing on his head (Hair? I dunno, you tell me!). He's too soft to be president. I can see him nuking someone for saying his breath stinks! I don't care about his racism, or Ron Paul's for that matter. I do like his trade policy statements, but I doubt he would follow through. Donald Trump is just another belligerent product of privilege in America, just like George W. Bush.

It doesn't matter whether I am or not, Trump's talking points are the opposite of pragmatism. As "radical" as Bernie's agenda is painted, his is actually feasible. Pissing off China and our own consumers in order to accomplish what? Making a point that you hate the unyielding tide of globalization? Brilliant.
