SkorpivoMusterion, those are wise words, which I see as compatible with the view I expressed (maybe that was your intention, I'm not saying it wasn't).

The view on God that I've cultivated towards, is strongly compatabile with your premise.

that being said, who is to say that your "god" os a he? who is to say that your "god" is not in fact "goddess"?
who is to say that religion isnt simply a farce, used by animals who have somehow developed the ability to give a shit to explain things which they cannot?
are the feelings you feel for your god, this love that you feel, masculine or feminie feelings, would you yourself be feeling this way from a man or woman?
if god is all than god most likely doesnt display a sex.
god is some hermaphrodite little hippo with dreadlocks and a goatee, he and ghandi are rocking the ganj on cloud 9 right now.

thought id spill some thought on you, sorry if it stains.

a while ago i had a dream that reminded me of my last musrhoom trip. it involved a lot of swirling geometric patterns which i later came to understand was "the master plan in action" or "the universe: behind the scenes." i was formless, seemingly in a boundless expanse and i was having thoughts which i realized werent my own (i think in effect by talking to myself, in my voice, in my head - my thoughts are words; spoken by me) what i was told was an explanation of the reason for being. i can only assume that this was spoken to me by "God" however you want to define that. it wasnt a direct monologue, more or less thoughts that were involuntarily introduced to my mind in a voice which was not my own. what i was told was this: that "spirits" or "angels" etc.. exist on another plane and choose to be brought to this plane by employing a host body to experience this reality. whether or not our conciousness is this "ghost" or "soul" i was not told.. but i assume.. that being said, our bodies are separate from our soul, which corresponds to many other theories of faith.
the way this was explained to me seemed sinister. one idea that was stressed is that this was "for them" as in our existence, our lives; our triumphs & tragedies our ability to manipulate the physical world was something for them to play with. i later responded to this confrontation by developing a reason for their need to experience reality through us.. they are parasites. parasites need a host to live in reality, and theyre no different. what would we be without them? is our self destructive behaviour a defense afainst them or them basically fucking with us by seeing what happens next? what is creativity - is it the language of the soul or is it more like being john malcovitch; them watching us create through our eyes? how much control do they have? if you want to separate mind/body from ghost, you must consider this.
i dont really know where im goin with this, but it was an interesting dream, and although not life changing (im still atheist) it was thought provoking and it led to another possibility with more unanswered questions.
now.. am i expressing this to a bunch of ghosts interpreting my words through thier corresponding host bodies? are the strangers or big brother coming for me? who is really thinking & who is writing?
now, aside from my paranoid thoughts, i have a strong disbeleif in the existence of God, as it seems to spawn solely from us, just as characters come from a writers mind in a work of fiction. just a complete fabrication without proof to explain what we cannot - yet. the last thing that god is, is a personification or a physical manifestation one way or another. another thing that god is not is a creator, at least thats what i believe, but dont take my word for it, read it for yourself! reading rainbow!

If God exists why does he not communicate with the people "he" loves most? Why does he not step forward to denounce all the evil do-ers who sin in his name once and for all! Oh, because I suppose you can only see him when you're in "heaven", which happens "after" you "die"...right, what a coincidental explanation only a human could analogize to explain the fact that they're insecure, gullible sheep following an imaginary shepard.

you fool. god exists. hes an ancient man who lives in a cloud, he is enormous and wrathfull, he feeds the children of sinners to wild beasts and wipes the world clean with floods and plagues. he smites the unbeliever and frowns upon sodomy and sea food. his preferances are strikingly similar to those of ancient bearded mysoginistic hebrew priests.

those who doubt him will know his reality when they find themselves burning for eternity in hell.

that saud, god is indeed the whole, he containes ALL THINGS within him, and nurtures good and evil, black and white, life and death alike. he has no name and no preferances. he is best described as the tao, the unnameable source within which we all exist.

although god is the whole, and there is nothing that is NOT god, that doesnt mean god doesnt exist.

each nation has it's own map
some maps show a region called god
other maps have no god
some are nothing but god
I keep erasing my map and someone keeps filling it in?

God(s) exists as various muddled concepts in the minds of men. Attempts by systems contained within a system (human minds within the universe) to explain something(s) with a level of complexity greater than all their aggregate complexity is fruitless - let alone trying to understand the entirety within a single human mind. We can only describe portions of what we are able to perceive, and our perceptions are limited. Why do people repeatedly, vainly attempt to explain that which they do not have the capacity to explain, slapping on human characteristics in the process? Why do people separate things into spiritual and physical when they are part of the totality of existence? This duality is a conceptual separation, nothing more, and it serves only to confuse. When you attempt to explain, to classify, to put into words, you cloud things with the prejudices of language and your limited point of view. What is, is... a reason, a purpose, a personality, and an answer to "why" are not required.
