Did anyone have any luck in Melbourne today? Spent a few hours perusing some parks but only one sub. Any of you guys have any luck? First season hunting as well, hope its a good one!

I found 2 patches of subs in parklands this Saturday Morning. About 20 Adults and quite a few pins.

Had to search quite hard and only found them as I was about to give up after 2 hours. Good luck with your next pick!

I whole heartedly agree. The chances are that pickers who behave in that manner aren't even part of this forum. I dont think they are the types of people who would seek discussion of the beauty of mushrooms and the environments they grow in. You've just endangered all the good hunters that pick in that area for the sake of a couple of idiots. Thanks. I hope none of us that respect and hunt this area are caught due to your phone call.

First post, mainly here for research. Apologies in advance for attitude and that this isnt pic upload; not truly relevant to thread but feel this needs to be said

come on man are you kidding. What kind of consideration for us did you have. Hope you weren't being legit. active fuckin patrols? Good one mate.

Anyway started to learn all about this wonderful topic last year - unfortunately lacked damp rid to dry/store and have some still from last year but are stale (they would nearly almost dry then re-moisturize at night over about 2 weeks) and not great to have a trip with, ok for micro dosing.

reading up on Paul Stamets material, still only fairly noob compared to other people here but learning even more with this 2018 thread and bobwastaken new guide update.

Hope everyone stays safe then. Hopefully i can post some finds mothers day or after

First off. I didn't report anything pertaining to the hunt, obviously.

Let's just get that clear.I solely reported the increasing damage to the area and lack of respect for the land. I know exactly what I'm doing. If you are educated in the hunt as most of us are and know what you're doing and how to move in the area then there should be no problems right?

As far as the logging goes. I'm heated about that as well.

They are destroying a vital part of the habitat that allows for this eco system to thrive. But the land trashers need to take that behavior elsewhere. Unlike the logging. I can actually do something about that. It will not be tolerated.

Reading that almost gave me a heart attack. That's my local area as well and my partner and I get disgusted at some of the pigs dumping their rubbish, and get annoyed when others make their intention obvious during this season (containers, inactives all over, etc) but patrols would be the absolute worse for the good pepes around.

glad to hear my worries/anxiety were only fearing fear itself!

I'll be going for a hike this week on my days off, hopefully be back on this thread with some woodlovers, maybe might need some pro help with altuaca in a different post!!

sorry blueprint, i feel your anger at the few arse holes, my fear towards you is misplaced what i thought might be the go this season (vicpol wise)... sorry dude.

Hey guys I'm new to hunting and have been looking around the SE suburbs of Melbourne for the past two days after this rain we've just had but I've had no luck. Has anyone found any psychoactive mushies around Melbourne yet this season? I have found a few mushies but fairly sure none are of the magic variety :frown:
