Don't wear your gangsta hat to the recording studio if you want to mix vocals properly. The arc on the bill of your hat will cause soundwaves from studio monitor speakers around the 7 khz frequency range to split and scatter around your head, and you won't be hearing the upper-high's of your vocal mixes clearly. ;D

OMG, really! that explains it then. I only begun eating asparagus last year, and since then it has become one of my favorite vegetables, so i eat it all the time.
The other night i was thinking about the reputation it hold in movies and shows, and that got me wondering why i'd never smelt the apparent strong odour after it'd been served up in my house.
Guess your little fact explains it.

Someone told me about this a week ago which was a conducted survey in the U.S. Apparently 1 in 4 Americans (Aussies too probably)don't know the the Earth rotates the sun.

I thought more people knew that.

In actuality, both objects orbit each other. To be more precise, they both orbit the barycenter; which, because of its much larger mass, is close to the sun.

I guess it depends on how it was worded, doesn't orbit describe the revolution?

Good catch.

Revolution on an axis is much different than an orbit.

Picture two suns of equal mass. The orbits of both (precluding other nearby massive objects) will be similar. Now let's pretend that one star has 1% more mass. Let's say a stray planet crashed into it. Can they still be said to be orbiting each other? I would say yes.

So does the one with greater mass generally gain precedence?

The one with the greater mass will have a smaller orbit. BTW this is one method we have of locating exo-planets and determining their mass - by how much they make their parent star 'wobble'.

Maryland was the furthest north you could legally buy a slave

most capital made from the American slave trade centered in New York.

northern mills were equally complicit in slavery by purchasing and processing southern cotton. Same with rum and sugar. Commodities made with slave labor. That's how it got the nickname "demon rum", never heard of demon whiskey did you.

northern shipyards knowingly made ships for the purpose of slavery

Islam was the first to introduce systemic organized slavery to the Africans. Some Africans sold their neighbors into slavery.

in a choice between the United States and South America ( south America to include Latin America, Caribbean islands and South America proper), who received the most slaves by percent? If you said 90% to South America, you were right.

there was an Amendment proposed by Thomas Jefferson abolishing slavery in America, about 90 years before Lincolns Emancipation Proclamation

Yup. This is how we discovered that Sirius had a companion star, which led to the discovery of white dwarf stars.

One thing that pretty much no one knows is what happened in Roswell.
