I think he's trying to confirm that the finding of Jesus' grave is, in fact, the work of Satan.

The scripture says-- if taken literally--that Jesus literally transcended into the heavenly sphere where he remains today.

I agree. In all true likelihood the possibility that the Biblical Jesus ever existed is tiny as there seems to be a lack of historical proof. I did think this would make an engaging topic for discussion, however.

That isn't an acceptable confirmation by any relevant standard.

Most definitely.

If anything a confirmation of his historical existence will only make me feel more comfortable with my adherence to Christ as an archetype.
