That was a pretty intense paragraph. I never really thought about it that way, that someone who is gay might really go through a phase of self-hatred due to society's programming. That makes me sad.

The sad thing is, some people actually believe that. "Suicide" is listed on some anti-gay websites as one of the risks of the "homosexual lifestyle choice".

wow. what a thread.
if by "gays are the downfall of society" you mean our leaders who dress in robes, worship an owl statue named Moloch, and sacrifice the effigy of a human child to it deep in the bohemian grove, then yes "gays" will destroy our world. but i consider the supposed "straight" men more queer then gay. Greek society was full of "straight" men who had wives, servants, and kids, but still took the 14 year old servant in the ass. or rather gave it to them in the ass. they still had all male orgies in their nasty all male bath houses, but society wasn't destroyed then. in fact society carried on, and being so queer became hidden somewhere along the lines.
i think if gay males held any world power then we would all be in trouble, cause you know a gay man bitches worse then a women on the rag. with that said, how can one attribute the fall of society to one crowd. you don't think religious nuts, right wing fanatic, Muslim fundamentalists, militiamen, rapists, gangsters, police, corrupt government, capitalism, human greed, and human nature are all the true culprits, not a few guys sticking it in an asshole. i have seen a few instances of gaydom in the animal kingdom. it was rhinos actually. it was a national geographic special on African wildlife. the narrator made a comment about homosexuality being something odd, but apparent in the animal kingdom. just like humans they don't know why one rhino wants to fuck another in the ass.
one thing i often found funny.
many of my "straight" friends, especially the most homophobic, love sticking it in a girls asshole. they would brag to me about anal sex and how much better it was then a snatch. the most homophobic guy i know owns nothing but anal porn, and porn of facials. that seems a little queer to me.

I think that in the long run, none of these really matters, and that people are going to be gay no matter what is done. So instead of trying to destroy something which has been inherant in our society for as long as we can possibly remember, I don't think it's such a bad thing to accept it.

There are obviously enough people in the world that will procreate, the gay minority will not take over the world.

Personally, I'm bisexual, because, like I said above, it doesn't matter.

i am straight, but i think human procreation is a waste. besides when robot bodies come out you wont need sex, so sexual confusion will be a thing of the past.
a better question left unanswered is..
why do (stereotypical) straight men slap each other on the ass, take showers together (referring to athletes), watch other guys slap each other on the ass, claim they are the most manly men in the earth, but still have an obsession with fucking chicks in the ass? no matter how much you fag bash, you still want to fuck something in the ass.
all of my straight guy friends love to fuck girls in the ass.. all the movies they own are all anal, except when the guys cums after wards in the chicks mouth. it seems straight men love the asshole just as much as any gay man.

well if you knew the gay men i did you would say that is a very truthful statement. i take it back.. 1 is very nice, calm, reflective, but he too bitches just as much in his own way.
one fact with the stereotypical gay man (which that comment was more or less about), DRAMA! i know too many gay people to count, some gay, some kinda gay, some flaming, some in drag, and some tranies, one common thing between all of them... DRAMA and BITCHING about their damned drama. i just want to slap them sometimes.. it's like, shut up ladies.. just get drunk and find some ass.
trust me if you knew the stereotypical gay men i do, which seems to be the only kind around all the places i go (San Diego is a very divers area), then you would understand gay men in power is bad cause of all the drama. and gay men seem to be less afraid to speak their mind, and slap a bitch...that could be bad in global sorta way. we would be fucking up nations left and right, we would be pissed cause Canada didn't give us the reach around.. think about it.

This is an interesting aspect of Greek and Roman culture. Their mentality towards homosexuality was much like what is seen in prisons today. It's alright to have gay sex as long as you're on top, but if you're the "bitch" then it's degrading and humiliating. This attitude is also implied in a lot of early 90's gangsta rap(ie "and it's 187 with ma dick in yo' mouth, biotch").

it was a strange experience for me in high school. most people thought i was gay cause i hung out with chicks all the time. so a gangster would be walking buy and yell "suck my dick faggot". one time i stopped and asked, "wouldn't that make you the fag, you're asking for it". then he got pissed and said, "what?! Fuck you Nigga'".
i really never knew what to make of that, but now i understand what their backwards double think meant.
as for anyone thinking i look down upon fagdom, please understand you are wrong. i hang out with some of the most queer of queers, and they are fun, but just too much drama. i learned to talk this way from the many drinking binges with these friends. most would end up with tranies fighting real chicks in the street. an interesting fight to be a witness to. remember a tranie is a man in a dress. they are pretty tough it seems, at least around here.

Bestiality is fine if the other animal initiates it. Incest is ok as long as it doesn't produce offspring. Necrophilia is an interesting one, because it raises the question of whether or not someone owns their body after death. Most people probably would not want their corpse to be used in such a way, but if they give you permission to do so before they die, then I'd say it's ok.

I will only speak for myself here and I did speak in support of finding understanding and acceptance of homosexuality in favor of ignorance and intolerance.

To answer your question, in the case of beastiality, the animal is not consenting, it is forced on them, thats rape. In the case of incest where mionors are involed, they are not consenting and thats rape. In the case of necrophillia, the dead body is not concenting and well, thats just .... :confused: :crazy:

If two consenting adults of the same sex find each other physically attractive or experience loving romantic feelings for another and want to express that emotion, in a way that is not harming others, then what really is the difference between them and heteros doing the same thing?

Put this in perspective, If I saw a hetero married couple living drunk, drugged up abusing each other and on well fare beating their kids and a gay couple with solid jobs, treating themselves and others with love, respect and gentility raising adopted children in a loving and nurturing environment, guess who gets my vote as humans I am pleased to be sharing the planet with?

I now what incest is, which is why I said when its with a minor it's rape. Pedophilia can encompass sex with minors that are not related by blood. Pedophilia is not necessarily and incestuous act, Like priests and alter boys. I do not condone adults forcing sex upon minors. Some 15 and 16 year olds are consenting with adults, but are the emotionally mature enough to handle it?

back in the day, people got married at 13 and 15 sooooo the consenting part is what is important to me. Force/rape is what I think most everyone here would disagree with.

If two siblings in their 20s want to get jiggy with it well then....... animal siblings do it. I had two male brother cats that were always trying to hump each other. male lions get jiggy with their own moms.

Like someone said though, if children are almost assured to come out whacky then, they should refrain from procreating but who are we to stop it? How can you? They can run off to an island.

Oh hell, all I know is this world could use a lot more loving and lot less hating.

By simply denouncing someone as a bigot, you're not exactly showing your love for your fellow man either. Even the haters deserve compassion.
