I am confused, bottom holes are covered in the photo and there is perlite in there. Have you uploaded the wrong photo? Anyway, there is no
formula. Fanning is not really necessary and misting should be applied as needed to keep conditions up.

I see you got fruits, seems you are in the right ballpark.

Hey you, I waited a while before giving it a good misting. I gave it time to soak up the water and then had to pour some out because I may have went overboard. Should it be growing through the casing layer like this? Also, how many days does it usually take these guys to pin?

     


The pic below is the coir/verm only and I think it's stalled and done for. Maybe I should bury it?



EDIT: I noticed some bluing in a few areas. Does this look like bruising or mold? I sure hope it's bruising. It's hard to see in the pictures though.

You did things quite differently to what I usually do. IIRC then you used PF-cakes and/or WBR inoculated spores which you have spawned to
manure straw "pasteurized" via bucket tek and fruited in a shoebox. I have never grown pans like that and I can only guess what to do here.
Would be easier if I could come over and have a look in person cause there are so many variables and subtle things on both sides that are not
translating well when trying to explain things on the basis of a few words and a couple of photos.

As I said in an earlier reply, you will have to repeat this a few times to get familiar with all the processes, gain experience and confidence.
Since this is only your 3rd grow (and your 1st with pans) I would suggest to go back to cubensis and grow a couple dozen shoe boxes and
start using agar. If it has to be pans then it would be easier to start with MacMerdin Cakes IMO.

If I was you I would start an new pan grow while fiddling around with this one and try to follow write ups more closely.

Thank you baba. I know I have to be getting slightly annoying and I appreciate your patience. I'll recase and continue to mist/fan. It really would be nice to have a pro come check em out lol I've got some PF REDSPORE colonizing right now so I plan to stick with cubensis for a while, I just got the pans cause they were on sale for cheap. At the moment I only have two jars of pf redspore going but I bought a new case of jars and I plan to noc' up the entire dozen tomorrow. From now on I'll try and do actual grow logs and keep everything as detailed as possible. Thank you again!

Recased, about 1/2 an inch to 3/4ths of an inch deep. It was the last of my vermiculite until tonight so hopefully it's enough.

That would be fine, from an age standpoint, but I would generally avoid a casing with humus because it may contain nutrition and you want your casing layer to be completely void of that. You might also consider pasteurizing it instead of sterilizing it though, but it's less important for casing than for substrate. Peat+verm would be preferable.

So, I bought a bag of peat.
But I forgot that peat is quite acidic.
And as I know, acidic environment is good to grow mould
But I don't want to grow mould, so I'd like to ask.
Should I use lime to raise the pH to 8-8.5?
I have no lime so I'll need to buy it then.
Or, can I use just gypsum to stabilize pH? I have a pack of gypsum.
And vermiculite.
What should I do?
It is time to make casing Jars are 100% colonized and wait.
