I started “watering” these with a syringe instead of misting and I’m getting better results. Per haps the gnats did not get to my bisporus. I probably would have seen an adult gnat by now right?

So, if I have some random stray seedlings growing in my shoebox will my shrooms still pin if they were ever going to at all or is that an issue?

I thought I'd read that pans feed off of roots of plants so I wanted to check cause I'm new af. Am I supposed to add a casing layer or is it not "necessary"? I know it doesn't look ideal or very clean but do you think it should start pinning soon with or without a casing layer?

Can anyone share their input with pan cyans potency? I grew Estero from Florida. The first time I took 1.5 grams, experience was a bit weak in my opinion, recently I tried them for the second time, I took between 2.8 and 3 grams dried (ground mushroom powder in capsules), and the experience was cool, quite strong, fairly visual, but the guy I got them from said he felt like I should have tripped harder from them after I shared my experience with him. From 3 grams..I kinda expected to blast off out of this world which didn't happen and thats fine but I'm curious of other people dosages and opinions. He asked me if I'm on any medications that could be blocking 5HT2A receptor and I don't take any meds.
Is it possible that some batches are just stronger than others ? It got me wracking my brain wondering if I am doing something in my life that is preventing full effects of mushrooms. I'm healthy, exercise alot and eat well. I don't want to overthink it but it got me wondering. I dried my pans in a food dehydrator around 125 for 12-24 hours.

Are these "blue pearls" the least bit psychoactive? There was a lot of noise made about them a short time ago, but no actual trip reports or other information.

The 'pearls' are not real sclerotia and are completely unharvestable. Shake a jar and they're gone. Disappear. Nobody got around to trying them bc there wasn't anything left to try.
In hindsight, it was a wild goose chase imo

Also depends on how well they were stored. Pans lose potency really fast.

Maybe to long in dehydrator? I harvested, dried, and then ground them up pretty shortly after. capped and put into a small sealed jar with silica packet to absorb any excess moisture.

I dont think its the dehydrator. Altho I try to keep them in there for as short as possible. Sounds like an inferior culture to me then.

I think one person said they have them to a friend and they said they were potent, that's the only report I think. They turn dark blue though, they look potent. I think they're real sclerotia, just usually too tiny to really bother harvesting, although I have seen photos of bigger-sized ones. If I'm able to isolate a good pearl producer I may try consuming the myceliated grain with capsules or tea. Maybe I'll cook up some myceliated brown rice for dinner sometime.

Ok sounds good, I'm hoping this is the case, I have a bunch of new spore selections going so hopefully some will hit stronger than these! I did notice on a few of my trays that some of the fruits have really blue stems while other trays do not have any blueing.
Also just to mention but part of me wonders if this is potentially a product of working with agar and maybe just selecting not the best genetics. Because I've grown out a lot of things on agar lately and select areas to transfer..sometimes the genetics will yield well, other times..they won't, and I've just thought "well maybe..its just a selection thing and I'm getting unlucky with potency here as well", just speculating.

Wondering if this might be the issue? How long were they stored like that before you used them? I ground up some natalensis and stored in capsules and they seemed to lose potency pretty quickly. Probably better to keep them whole and grind up as need for consumption if that’s how you want to take them. Just a possibility.

Hey Shr00mfer i count you to day 8 after casing. If nothing have happen after day 10 you could maybe try to spray the casing so its look really wet and remove the micropore tape. You need some evaporation in the casing to stimulat pinning. Good luck.

First little flush of my outdoor pan bispo patch. I see tons of pins but am not sure the weather will be right. The air has been unusually dry, though warm. I keep the patch well-hydrated but the fruits don't like dry air. I expect a lot more fruits though. My outdoor pan patches fruited often - many waves/flushes.

That's awesome. I'm wondering if after my grow works out if id be able to plant my pan sub on my balcony in a huge flower pot I have. I only know of pan cincts growing where I'm from but I was hoping maybe I could get them to fruit in an outdoor patch sometime.
