Tax cuts for the rich screw over more people. But this country has a consensus on almost nothing. The single thing that this country has the strongest consensus on is that pedophilia is the worst offense. Worse than murder. Worse than war atrocities. So what we have here is an alleged rapist of a child offering support to an alleged child trafficker.

Your focus on economics is rational, but asserting that people who try to make Trump's statement a huge issue attributable to their TDS, and not a non-issue puts you up against the moral beliefs of nearly everyone, religious people and atheists alike.

Half the country likes his tax cuts, even when further analysis showed who benefitted the most. I can see going against the stream, but not this far against the stream, and not on this issue.

There’s just no moral ambiguity here. Yet every single trump supporter so far has bent themselves into a pretzel to avoid criticizing the words and implication of those word. There’s an entire thread in the conspiracy forum about Epstein full of people who want to hang pedophiles by their balls, they want every single person that took part in Epstein’s criminal activities to be served maximum justice. Yet, something so morally unambiguous as wishing well a monster like Maxwell doesn’t seem to even interest most of that crowd.

I guess you guys haven't noticed but the nfls lost money and fans since this whole fiasco (myself included) nobody will decide to watch baseball or football because the league is participating in this flavor of the month. But people will most definitely stop watching. It hurts them no matter what
