Whether he meant them or not is not for you to decide.

The words came out of his mouth. At no point did he say it was sarcastic and at no
point does he insinuate it isnt his intent.

This is the fuckin president we're talking about here. Whether or not you believe he
is trolling doesn't matter. The words exited his mouth with 0 preamble as to their intent.

For all intents and purposes, the words were genuine and you should take them at face value
since, again, he't the fucking president.

How do you decide which words are trolls and which are serious? Do you just
lable what confirms your world view as serious, and that which causes cognitive dissonance an elaborate troll?

Yea, i totally get that, and thats the point. Trump shoots his mouth off all the time, and thats why I said that "i wish her well" was just another off the cuff comment (he probably didn't know what to say) because he was randomly asked about her on the spot, but Koods thinks he choose his words and meant them, and 100% without a shadow of a doubt wishes her well

First trump isn't presidential and he isn't a career politician so gets a pass on that stuff

I agree and the point is not to take his words very seriously at all. After 4 years of doing this stuff, people are still getting triggered. :facepalm:  Hell, Trump knows he likely only has a few months of the public spotlight and he's going to milk it for all it's worth.

I watched the actual interview. If you see his body language and face you can easily
see he wasnt made uncomfortable or put on the spot by the question. Nice try

It's funny anyone would think words have only one meaning. For example the word "racism" has a myriad of meanings these days. So many meanings that the word has become nearly meaningless, IMO

@rj- since you have to be godly to know the heart of a person, why defend trumps
statements, since one would need to be godly to know that he WASN'T genuine in
any of his statements?

It seems the trump crowd claims his statements which confirm their world views
are genuine, and statements that cause cognitive dissonance in them are trolls or natural human errors.

For the record, I belong to neither party and personally think biden is a shit bag
also, but I think the trump crowd needs to learn to be self aware and self critical.

The same conservatives that called michelle obama a gross disgusting excuse for
a first lady for wearing a sleeveless dress now hoots and hollers for melania in a thong.

I've seen, in recent months, conservatives, who regularly talked previously of fighting
tyranny and gov control and argued for small gov, now rallying for secret police
capturing people without reading their rights, arguing in favor of federal intervention on states issues,
Siding with police who are attempting to silence american's 1st ammendment right to protest, etc.

Masks are tyranny but cops killing americans, white and black, with 0 repercussion isn't.

Trump has created a republican party that is literally arguing in favor of tyranical
measures they previously claimed to abhor.

Yes I do, just look at his comments in regards to the pandemic. The man is very desperate and insecure, so much so that he really is indirectly responsible for thousands of people dying for not taking the virus seriously. He thought it was cute to troll about a deadly virus to potentially score political points with his supporters.

member of this board that hasnt fallen cor trumps cult of personality.

You seem to be able to criticize where criticism is due and that is in very short supply around here, on both sides.

I'm a bernie supporter, but in the bernie thread I called him a failure for the american people
by not showing up to the vote, which passed  by 1 vote, to reinstitute the patriot act containing new addendums.

The ability to be critical of your political choice is terribly lacking round here.

You're 100% correct and it works on both sides of the equation. Liberals supporting wars, CIA/FBI political investigations and MSM propaganda when it supports their short term goals. There's no shortage of political and ideological hypocrisy.
