I think the obvious conclusion here is trump said some dumb shit and then the entire PR wing of the executive branch went into damage control mode, as they are want to do.

The difference is, in your last example probably 95% of posters would agree with you, but in the case above about wishing someone well, it's probably a lot closer to 50% because he DID have a reasonable explanation.  I know I've wished people well who left my company to work for a competitor, even though I wasn't happy for them.

You're acting like I'm defending Trump, I'm not.

I'm merely suggesting that in a court of law, your case of accusing Trump of being an accomplice or a supporter of Maxwell regarding anything she's done would be laughably thrown out if this is all the evidence you have.

I'm not HOPING Trump is or isn't an accomplice so there's no hoops to jump through. This is pure objective analysis. It's not good enough evidence for anything. He could be being pressured by powers we're unaware of to not say anything or to be careful what he says, he could be guilty himself, or he could have been caught off guard and didn't know what to say. Maybe some intel told him to hold off for a few days before saying ANYTHING about the case for certain reasons.

You're all jumping to conclusions. :shrug:

The point is he was close friends with the pedophile people and was stupid enough to wish the most senior surviving member of it “good luck.”

Trump: no

Court: well we’re gonna send you a letter saying you have to

Trump’s lawyers: no he doesn’t


And that’s the end of that. As someone who’s been edging for 3 years waiting to blast ropes at Trump getting caught up by the legal system I figured you’d have learned this lesson by now. Alas

We'll see, man. I'll have no issues if I wind up seeing Trump shy away from this harder, but I think your heads are all going to explode now if he goes ahead in assisting with further prosecution.

Trump gave the prosecutor who let Epstein off with a slap on the wrist a job in his cabinet. Then he gave the attorney who negotiated that deal a job as his impeachment lawyer. After Epstein was arrested he said “he wasn’t a fan.” What kind of tepid language is that for a fucking child rapist? I’m gonna to look through his twitter and find all the things he says about people accused of crimes far less serious than raping kids.

As for assisting with the prosecution, someone needs to ask him why he fired the prosecutor who was on the verge of arresting Maxwell, and tried to replace him with someone who had no prosecution experience. If that had happened, who knows if Maxwell would have been arrested at all.

Someone needs to ask him how Jeffrey Epstein managed to kill himself in a jail run by Trump’s own justice department

trump has rewarded people who made the Epstein case go away. He ran the jail where Epstein literally went away for ever. He tried to shake up the prosecutor’s office that was investigating Maxwell and now he’s giving her his moral support. These are facts. Your hypotheticals are fantasy.

His press secs words aren't trumps words. Trumps words were what they were.
If he wanted to convey what he supposedly told his press sec, he should have just
said it in the interview and eliminate the middle man.
