god...what is

I've seen this term being thrown around a lot, including myself, and it begged me to ask myself what it meant. I'm sure this has been brought up many times, but I want to see what people out there think, even the people who don't post. so here's my question.. how do you define god? is it an entity that watches over us, and is thus seperate from us?? is god the system we live in, the trees, the clouds, the air, the light, everything, including us? Are humans gods and animals not?? Or is there not even one, it's just a definition that we have made up to try to explain what's going on because our minds are feeble.
I'm not ask for the actual answer here because I don't really think anyone could say what IS and what ISN'T, but opinions are great!
to me god is energy, the light everything that surrounds us. there is no time as we define it (as a function of distance), just one moment, one now, forever. god to me is nothing and infinity and everything inbetween.
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

God is whatever you want it to be.
-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

I tend to think of God as "All-That-Is"
Which includes, but is not limited to...everything in existence.

"god is everything" "we are all god" "god doesn't exist"
that should cover about 99% of the responses you'll get here.

Additionally to seeing God as a force of energy, perception and experience that flows through all things, I see it as a Creational source of light which the universe revolves around. In my mind is a star, but not just any star... the Great Central Sun. This force of energy to me is original creation of all-that-is. While it exists in the center, completely creation and eternal, we exist in the physical and spiritual planes in order to gain experience, for the continued evolution of All-That-Is Creation and evolution go hand in hand. You create something, then it evolves. We are all just representations of that original creation. We have the same potential for creation and evolution as it does, therefore, we are god and so are the trees, and so are the animals, and so are the rocks and the Earth and everything else in the Universe.

God is love. God is everything that is, was and will be. Keeping those two precepts in mind, God is within us but exists completely seperate from us. God can exist forever without us, but we cannot exist without God. Learning to accept and to understand that the Lord loved us so much that he sent a savior so that we might truly know Him is a central theme to my beliefs about God God is the environment we live in. Meaning that, without God, none of this would be possible. There is nowhere I see the love of God for the inhabitants of this rock more then in nature. Humans nor animals are God.

God is immanent to us in Spirit (Holy Spirit/Ruhallah), and we simply return to the final awareness, consciousness of God. I think of God as Loving, Merciful, Compassionate, and Shy. He understands All.

I disagree. God is both creator and creation. If God is infinite, that means you can't limit God, and therefore you can't really say that something isn't God because God is everything.

God is the source, Everything, and no-thing, arise from the source, but whether or not you call the source god, is decided by the source, because you exist as a function of the source. Everything and no thing are of the source, and it all just "IS". Atleast thats my opinion, as given to me by the source/god. Sincerely, That which is, and has no choice but to be

And, to top it off:
I am God.
Just couldn't help but say that one more time... Peace.
