mycology, Could you spread the mushrooms out so we can see all of them?  Unable to view specimens at the bottom of the bowl.  Other than that, all of the visible mushrooms in the bowl appear to be wet ovoids (PA variety).  Like everyone else has said, the yellowish one in 1st pic is not an ovoid. 


Went hiking today and checked out a new spot in the area I've been recently venturing to.  Was able to locate some more flood debris ovoids and a couple log clusters.  Also saw a lot a pin action going on.  Hopefully this weekends event will kick things back into high gear.  Other than that, I took the time to get stem butts from where we saw them and put them in places we didn't.  Was doing the same yesterday.  This new area is going to loaded by the time I'm done this season. Here's some of the ovoids we were able to observe today.  Pics 7 and 8 are of the same mushroom.  When I flipped it over to check the gills I found that moth just chilling there like that.

If there's enough mulch, it will generate its own heat. Large mulch piles often steam in the winter. It's also possible for mulch piles to spontaneously combust.

That's what I was referring to I just feel like you don't wan't to overdue it and immediately turn it into compost.

awesome guys we don't have large chip piles here unfortunately my town is pretty good about redistributing their chip piles, and as such we have miles of chips on the ground but not in a pile so to speak, I may grab 5gal of chips and start spraying em down with a spore solution try to get some stuff to be ready for next spring

Yeah, it didn't wanna move at all.  Maybe it was hiding out till the birds fell asleep.  I made him vacate and start spreading those spores though! 
That sucks you ran outta space. I'm dreading the day that happens to me.
