I could be burned at stake for finding zero more honorable than the excuses many make for acts in the name of god but performed out of rank ignorance.

the ideas of an unknowable god and a placeholder for what we do not know overlap, but god comes with social and political burdens and these will not stick to zero.

or you could say the devil is in the details. or choose between what is left over if you can't see the item itself.

Could you be more specific when you say "God"? It's a word that's thrown around so much these days it's hard to know what connotations come with it.

god is like the silence of questions.
god means "put a cork in it" - then someone else takes control.

remove the word "god" in our civilization, don't remove good institutions: family,holidays, traditions and culture, just take the word god outand encourage or allow the mind to question everything: let in the light.

the word god is actually the antigod to all the meaning ever attributed to that which is unknowable or transcendent or eternal or whatever among thousands of epithets reaching beyond conceivable limitations.

Not that "God" which is advertised by churches. The "God" I'm refering to is the purest essence of Love. God is what happened when you wake up in the morning.

to point at what happenned at waking
an appropriate phrase selection
might carry your impression of love
and awe past the entanglements and projections
that the "god" word carries.

some sense of epiphany, or harmonious in-tune-ment, might more accurately convey the meaning while avoiding ill conceived declarations and prejudices.
