Ineffective punishment, maybe.  He didn't learn a lesson from it.  At worst, he had a moment of confusion and pain before he ceased to exist.  Killing someone isn't punishment.  It's more about removing that person from being a potential factor in the future.

Alot of people are calling for assassinations on the left or all out civil war. Theres alot of fake posts from people posing as left wing nuts just pouring gasoline on this. Just this morning i saw a highly edited clip that made it seem like house democrats made a bunch of noise during a moment of silence for kirk and his family.

I honestly think we're headed for a 2nd civil war, the only thing I can say about that is ALL the rednecks I know that have an arsenal of weapons are republicans... my brother in vegas said there is a militia there and guess which side they're on, team red... I don't think the democrats really have much of a chance if it turns into a red-vs-blue war🤷‍♂️

I’m just saying, we all know murder is wrong, we all know death shouldn’t be celebrated. We don’t need to be told that.

But let people have their little fun.

There is a lot of pressure building up everywhere, let people blow off a little steam.

I pulled an all nighter, feel asleep around noon, and am just now waking up and I for one feel like a whole new person. Very zen and leveled out.

There will never be a civil war. Even if the dumbos in those gravy seal militias do hit the street some day they'll just rape and kill a few hundred people before they all end up turning on each other and self destructing. MAGA is mostly mentally unstable idiots, they have no ability to cooperate at all and end up hating and turning on each other eventually.

The reality is the slow, boring, fascist takeover that's already well underway

      So you think there are more guns in Vegas than  in east Oakland ?
  I'm not sure how that's supposed to happen anyway given that we don't really have territory to fight over or a line on a map that divides us .  I have no idea who's conservative or liberal in my neighborhood if they don't put a sign out in front of their house .
  I think we will probably see more targeted killings but I'm not sure our society is structured in a way anymore  that will allow a full blown civil war to happen . 
  The cops could just close the freeways  , that would make it almost impossible .  The really conservative parts of Cali are a long fucking way from my house . 
  They may be willing to take backroads for 12 hrs to get to the fight but I'm not .

Oh there for certainly is. Lived in Vegas for a vast majority of my life.

If you need an example of a purple state it is truly Nevada which is virtually Clark County which is virtually Las Vegas.

Ever wonder why the politicians go back and forth between Dem and Republicans?

Cause the people there are very liberal socially and as long as you ain’t hurting people do you.

When it comes to money and guns? Red as all fucking hell.

You can fire machine guns at the range and a lot of the ranges have actual military grade SAWs for rent.

It isn't really about who has the guns anyway.  Liberals are perfectly capable of acquiring and using firearms.  Liberals are generally more intelligent than conservatives, too.  I don't think conservatives would stand a chance in a civil war.
