so you think that everything should be done in the most inefficient way possible to maximize the number of jobs required?

food isnt optional.  how expensive do you want groceries to be?

I like to steal the wheels off of the carts. They come in really handy around the house.

If I had a truck, I'd just take the whole cart, lol.

No, just some things and only until we no longer require people to have jobs to survive.

Just expensive enough for everyone to eat.  Why do you want to take food out of someone's kid's mouth?  Is that some new objective measure of decency?  Willingness to let someone else go hungry because you think Walmart will take a few pennies off the price of your pizza rolls?

Well, kids can’t have a free lunch. That’s a republican running stance now.

Cause you know. Fuck those kids. What have they ever done for me?

what kid am I taking food from in your fantasy?

again, no one is hiring people to run carts. thats shit people have to do above and beyond their core responsibilities, so why are you trying to unnecessarily create more work for the grocery store worker?

I'm gonna be honest my man, it says something bad about you that you'd even choose to argue this.

the "kid" at the grocery store would appreciate you not being a dickhead and leaving your cart where-ever your immediate needs for it ends.

no one likes doing unnecessary work.  thats baked into our evolutionary design.

I just wash my hair and shave, and spray my balls with scalding hot water, then wash my ass last.

Regardless of core responsibilities the carts need to find their way back to the store.  Getting them there requires a certain amount of time each day.  I might split that time between 5, 10, 20 or 100 employees, none of whom have "run carts" as part of their core responsibilities but the amount of labor hours doesn't change.  If I can change the required amount of labor hours by making my customers perform that labor I can reduce the amount of employees I have on duty at any given time.  The employees will have just as much work or more to do because I'll simply reshuffle their duties to account for the labor hours I saved on carts.

This isn't a debate, you're just plain wrong.  Putting the cart in the corral definitely costs someone a job.  Maybe it would be worth it if Safeway was actually going to reduce the price of your chickie nugs accordingly but they won't.  Your only compensation will be an unfounded but smug sense of superiority

No, the Haitian guy who's working his second part-time job's kid.  Daddy is gonna have to stand outside U-haul to scam up day labor now because Wally World called and said they only need him for 3 shifts this week

Oh, that kid doesn't know any better.  He thinks his job will be easier if people put the carts away.

lol you're absolutely disconnected from reality but lets follow your premise. society can handle losing a small number of low pay grocery store jobs that directly inflate the cost of necessary goods for all.

I don’t wash my ass because it stays squeaky clean 24/7

this is quite a touching fantasy scenario you've cooked up in your mind.

he's objectively correct and you're being exceptionally intellectually dishonest in this weird crusade to perpetuate unnecessary labor through assholism.  lol what the fuck are you on, homeboy?

why not take your cart to the absolute edge of the parking lot so they have to hire more people (they wouldnt btw)?  I mean fuck it lets see how many people we can get working at the grocery store.  maybe we can get eggs up to 75$ per dozen.

Yeah, I imagine that their employers feel the same way about those low-paid workers as you do.  Fuck em, amirite?  Society can afford to lose a few of those types, ya know?

Rationing is for other people to do, like paying taxes or taking your shopping cart back to the corral. I’m different.

Don't get me started on the cart corral!  It's a corporate ploy to trick you into unpaid labor so they can fire employees and pocket the savings.  They're preying on your better nature.  Don't let the oligarchs milk you!
:wtfsonic:

I always take the time to push my cart out to the furthest corner of the lot in solidarity with my fellow workers :snub:

my man if you want to throw your fucking money away feel free but don't advocate for subsidizing a few dead end low paying jobs off everyone else's higher grocery bills.

I think you’re under the misconception that the grocery store would lower the cost of your groceries based off of them firing an employee that isn’t necessary anymore.
