That was my 1st, so I can't sale it, not that my husband would let me.  Lol.  He got the stick off a buddy 15 or years ago, it sit in our basement rafters until about a month ago when he finally decided he wanted a morel on top.  So, started with that & went from there (I couldn't leave it 1/2 done).  Took me about a month in my spare time due to working 3 jobs.

& Thank you everyone for the compliments on it, I appreciate that :laugh:

Haven't posted in awhile but I have been super busy I didn't even get out 1 time this year I figured things would be great with all the rain I hate to hear that the season wasn't that great

You should really do more, you have a talent and could potentially make big bank on them.


That has always been my issue when trying to sell my work (art/crafts/glassworker/etc.) = either I under charge or they don't want to pay the amount I'm asking + some take longer than expected especially when I'm my biggest critic. I won't sell/give it unless I'm happy with it - drives my husband crazier LOL

I came across this in a Facebook group and thought it was very interesting.  Supposed to be ovoids in a museum from 1894.  The writing on the newspaper says something about a “dense cluster” and labels them “agaricus”.  They do look like dried ovoids though.  Here original quote from the Facebook post- 

“I think this is Psilocybe  ovoideocystidiata from 1894 (found in Delaware) 👀 collection at Museum of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia labeled “Agaricus””

A bit odd it was displayed like that.  Usually in a museum it's better.

It wasn't on display, but wrapped in newspaper tucked away in a drawer in the museum's herbarium.
He's digging through 100 year old dry mushrooms and putting modern names to them.

My question is, are they still active?

Not stored like that, they aren't. Psilocybin and baeocystin waved bye bye a long time ago.

This patch had a small flush this spring as well. The previous year it was seeded with these
