This is the start of the New Year and hopefully it will be much better than 2020. If you're new to the site, do not post ID request here, create your own thread, Thank you.

Very nice finds Doc. Haven't had any consistent rain for almost a month down here so I'm not even finding common mushrooms. Even my Gym patches are all dried up

Thank you, I need more time, I don't have enough spare time to document like I want too. Hopefully, This year will allow me to do some experiments with cubensis mycelium, such as: Temperature tolerance, Hydration/dehydration, nutrition preferences (cellulose, NPK, etc.)
I would like to see how long the mycelium can stay totally submerged and dehydrated, as well as seeing how long it can be frozen before it dies. So many things that I want to investigate with so little time.

Yeah its finally been raining a bit. FL tricked me with the storms a couple weeks ago thinking there'd be more, but now it's really stormy. I just want my gyms back

Imo @Type...Ive had some gnarly looking home cultivated cubes but to this day Ill put a cap I found during the colder season over any cubes ive ever had so Id say field cubes 👍
Still nothing popping in Augusta Ga area the humidity is still very low but we have had lots of rain with pools of standing water for extended periods of time so fingers are crossed for a good season with minimal winds

We had our first rainy and humid few days this past weekend in central Florida since the temperature has been back up. Thought I'd get lucky going to my spot.... I didn't find anything. Hardly a mushroom of any type in sight. No pinning either. Le sigh...

When is peak season for FL actives? We were thinking about taking a flight down there with the cheap air fare and all.

Well you can most of the time find them year round in Florida with the right conditions but the peak of season when I would come out with Santa Sacks was May and June

I found these a few weeks ago in a pasture near Port Orange, FL. The rain has been sparse so far and one field that reliably produces large quantities of pan cyans is completely dried out, a shame because I have a very friendly relationship with the owners of said field.

These cubes leaned heavily towards the less potent side of the spectrum.

The rain has been disappointing here lately. But there is a pasture/preserve I want to visit when it gets some rain. Camped overnight there and it was gorgeous. I don't know if I'm allowed to namedrop places here, even if it's legal to just go and visit.

My Gymn patch is once again producing
Current making spore prints of the two larger ones so I can finally cultivate em. I imagine it will be a lot of agar work to isolate it without contaminants

Yeah but it was still a nice, social trip. I took the dried mushrooms in that picture which weighed out to about 4 grams but felt closer to around 2. Wild cubensis around here vary a lot in potency but I tent to prefer them to home grown cubes. Very laid back.
