Looks promising seeing this make me question if some of the void patches i have are actually baeos i thought they were cuz they looked like it but seen they didnt grow here so i ruled it out. Maybe i can dig some pics up from the spring and u guys can decide.

Just took a short walk by the river conditions are looking good the whole place was a carpeted in honey fungus. No voids but I found this weird cordyceps growing from a cocoon.

Last month or so squirrels keep digging in the wood chip mulch projects.  I am patching back over exposed mycellium.  The chip projects are big enough I don't think its causing much harm but still annoying.  Stray cats need to step up the squirrel game. I put some chicken wire type fencing over some of the patches and that seems to work.

Anyways I think the mycellium looks good.  Come on and give me some fall fruits!

We had the driest september on record and the 10th wettest October.

Checked one of my Fall spots and came up zero. I don't know what's going on, I haven't found any significant amounts of fall ovoids for 3 years now. I used to find enough of them that I could count on for a few potent fall ovoid trips.:shrug:

Have you been placing straw or dead grass over your patches? Seems to keep out the diggers while keeping the wood hips nice and wet.

What would call them then I got the print from thePNW and it was more pink than purple type of phenotype and it is pretty warm here still around 70 ish degrees. I noticed they turn darker when it's cooler. I have saw you even find ones that look just like these in 2018 thread sometimes the are round with a sucked in hole in the top, very weird looking. If they are not then what are you thinking? Thanks but I'm still not really convinced but thanks for your input. I stay very farther south than anyone else but they do grow here and I have many prints of ovoids. Peace & Love

Thanks for your input tho and I am getting too old for tripping its just a hobby. Thanks tho it wouldn't let me share your photos from the 2018 thread Koods with the mutant ones with the pin hole in top. They are the only ones I have saw that some of these look identical too but I diddn't take any photos of those ones specifically. They do have a pinkish purple spore print but anyone care to take a shot on what species.Thank you all for your thoughts tho. Peace and Love
