I have to disagree. I have had nothing but uncomfortably strong experiences with this seasons ovoids. I always make ovoids into tea (can't handle em raw) and I have experienced wildly uncomfortable body loads each time. My experience with other psilocybe varieties is limited (I've had cubes once all the rest are ovoids), and I'm trying to find a way to deal with the body load on the come up because it is really really uncomfortable. Does anyone else find this with ovoids?

Total crap. Maybe 10% of the normal activity. Nearly all my regular spots did nothing. The season was also about a week long.

Ovoids definitely get stronger later in the season. There was no late season. We had one flush that started rotting within two days and then it was over. There weren’t even stragglers.

My point was the phenotype which I had never taken before (the nipple head ones)found along the Susquehanna. My normal spots where I typically find the smaller ones was dismal, just like Koods said.I got more ticks than mushrooms at spots that I used to find pounds of them.
Like I said in a previous post....my guess is that the lesser celandine carpeting my old spots that used to have none; along with the extra fierce weather that we've had in the mid-Atlantic flood wise and the dead ash trees that were all over my areas that no longer shade and allow the grasses to grow very high where it used to be ankle level.

Oh well, next time, I'll up the dose ...lol, just hope I don't get shot out of a cannon because they had the normal high potency.:lol:

I will say the celandine died off very quickly this year which may have contributed to the problem with ovoids rotting very quickly. The dying celandine molds like crazy.

It is amazing how aggressively it is taking over the flood plains. It’s not a bad cover for mushroom growth but fuck if you can find them under that carpet

It is impossible to find them unless they grow tall enough to peek out over the top. I'm also not sure if all that rapid celandine growth ( the stuff grows to maturity in just a couple weeks) doesn't sap something from the ovoid mycelium growth, maybe robbing it of key nutrients?:shrug:

Had to share my 1st walking stick I ever carved.  Dremel, poket knife & exacto knife the rest is wood stain then poly.  The ONLY painted part was the eyes.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get the green tent on the snake = copper head with a rattles.
