I was born and raised catholic and went to catholic school my whole life. I came to the realization that it's all just make believe, like santa or the easter bunny.....or bigfoot. There is just as much evidence for those things as there is a god, yet most people grow out of that mentality. except for when it comes to a "god". I have grown out of it all, as there is no evidence, and trust me, I did once believe, but not once did god ever reveal himself to me. Try as hard as I could, and pray as hard as I might, nothing. Until there is actual tangible evidence, I remain skeptical. Blame it on my demenor if you must, but if there is a god he would know exactly what it would take for me to believe, and yet he does nothing, meaning he doesnt care, or doesn't actually exist. And if he doesnt care, why should I?

Why do you demand tangible evidence of things which are not tangible?

Attainment of knosis is accomplished by completely relinquishing concern of the tangible.

The problem is not that 'God' is not presenting 'himself'', rather the fact that you are expecting an introduction in a preconceived, idealistic form which can never be, akin to fishing in an arid desert and expecting to catch your favourite fish.
