Well, "Christian" extremists manifest themselves through such avenues as bombing abortion clinics, killing doctors who perform abortions, and (perhaps most frightening of all) forming insular Neo-Nazi/White Supremist groups..just as bad as any Islamic extremist, IMHO

Christianity isn't under constant political strife. Christianity is the religion of the industrialized world.

You can't blame a religion for the actions of its most bone-headed adherents. See, the thing about Christianity, Islam, or even the highly political version of Hinduism (or any other religion out there) is that anyone can convert to that religion. Even the entire Shroomery community.
