hell no it's not dry. some areas of the bay may well be nearing thier end though, in light of these recent freak freezes. san francisco county seems to have been spared the colder temps though.

it's only been dry where i'm at for a week, a few more of these before it dries out again and there will be more. the cold wasn't too bad on my side of the bay, san francisco county barely got a freeze [it was the only county in the bay not to get a severe weather alert when last i watched the news].

meh
there was no real frowst where i live. to close to the actual bay.
i checked my friscosa patch today and i found a a lone semi dry mushroom. not very big, not very small. a snail ha taken a nip out of it but it was still good.
the mycelium seems to be very healthy. bursting at the surfase and it was even semi damp to the touch. im hoping this light sprinkling aong with some more rain tomaro aor soon after could make soem fruits pop. wich is good cus i have been eating these things faster than i can picj them

Too bad that theres no shrooms around here.
When I woke up this morning there was a half inch thick sheet of ice over my dogs water bowl.

barely...this is from today, from the north bay, after the freeze of 2007, from the few hours of rain last night

red ones are red hypholoma pins, and that's about as far as they're gonna go if it doesn't rain more pretty soon

well, at least it shows the freeze didn't make them all go away..there's still some hope

btw, saw on the news, most of the Bay is only about 50% of normal rain this year

here's a way to compare it with last year, and normal

http://www.sfgate.com/weather/rainfall.shtml

at the bottom there's the rainfall totals

it could still change this year..maybe next week a series of pineapple express storms? most of those spots out there really want to have one good fruiting this year, if given a chance

yeah i have hope. even with the frost i found one friscos growing with minimul damage besides a snail bite.
the mycelium is very healthy

4-5 days of rain should make marin patches pop. i never got all that frosty here

yeah I agree....many spots made it through just fine around the bay..Mycelium is healthy and looks great..the last rain was just enough to keep that mycelium moist, but that's about it

they're just sitting there waiting for some good rain
