Some advice for potential cyanescens pickers. Walk around a lot! Don't bother with people's yards- stick to parks and ecological restoration projects completed three to five years ago. Look for alder mulch ONLY.
Borealis...thank you! Great tips! Guess I need to going to the park to walk my dog!
Thanks!

I forgot to mention the color of decomposing alder woodchips. They will be whiteish-greyish. The smaller chips the better.

Nice find Psily! How high do you set the heat on your dehydrator for those?
Here's the environment pic from my hunt with Souls. Woodchips of course .

i dont use my dehydrator for actives, i'm too worried about the heat destroying the psilocybin!
i set them on the racks in front of a fan so they can dry from above and below, and then after 2 days i'll prolly throw them in a dessicator

Nice, I know some people say they use dehydrators on a low setting for actives but I'm wary also.
I've got six 80mm fans in my computer case so I've been putting them inside of that. It takes only about a day but there's not too much room in there.

yeah i have an older dehydrator that only has the options "on" and "off" i'm sure i'll eventually add a switch to control the heat but for now... its fanning time

I found a new patch of pins on Saturday, but I'm a bit concerned about the lack of rain predicted for this week. The area were I found them doesn't have very good protection from the sun. Has anyone here watered a patch before? If yes, what kind of water should I use? Tap? Distilled?

i just poured some of my brita water (which is what i always have in my nalgene anyways) on one of my patches yesterday i dont know what's better, it was just the only H2O I had on me.
borealis-- i have a homemade one. i took a tupperware container and put drie-rite in the bottom. i took wire and molded a shelf w/in the tupperware above the drie-rite. i put the mushrooms on top and close the lid tight. gets em nice and dry!!
