Hey, you've already started a thread. Do you want to delete this one or the other one.

Secondly, your poll doesn't make any sense.

Lastly, like I stated in your other post, it is not allowed in the mushroom hunting forum to give out specific locations. The fun of hunting is to find them for yourself, and giving out locations just has trouble written all over it...if you understand what Im talking about.

Right now is not the time to find any hallucinogenic fungus in the Bay area. You are just about a month too late. Your best bet is to buy some from someone off the street.

Oh NO!!!! ooops! we read about Ps. cyanescens as the most predominant in this area and went foraging but poison oak threw us off for a whole month (of taking those steroids for the rash).... SO..... we have some serious questions:

how far from SALT WATER do you have to go to find 'em?

are there still things happening farther north from here? (we can still sail up)

you must be jesting about the street!! how could you tell when it's dried that it's the real thing? doesn't pinch blue any more, right????

we're spinning on our anchor in richardson bay in our little blue sabre and feel like we're the only fungaly-inspired people here....... but without our stash of inspiration!

In Hawaii, coastal ranches getr sprayed with sea mist from the waves crashing on the rocky coast line.

However, they grow in gardens in the real late fall, November to january in San fran and north of there.

And then if someone has mulched areas by ocean waters it will not har the shrooms.

Angry already answered, but being a CA resident myself I can affirm his response. You are not likely to find any actives at this time, it's getting warmer and our rains have likely quit for the most part.

However, there are plenty of delivious edibles out at this time. Keep your eyes open for Puffballs on coastal fields, also there's good chance to find morrels and chantrelles. Lepitoas also, if you can stomache them (I can't, but they are delicious).

good luck my friend!
