morels at the green festival (San Francisco Ca.)

I volunteered to man the Mycological Society of San Francisco's booth at the Green festival in San Francisco Sunday and sometime during the day a couple came up to me and asked if I knew what kind of mushroom they had. I said "wow that looks like a morel can i have it? They laughed and said that they were growing across the street and that there were about 15 of them growing there. well i imediately went and picked these.

Very nice.

To keep them fresh, just keep them in a paper bag in the refrigerator. That should last for several days.
