Went out today after the little bit of rain we had, found a couple pins but not much else...

They look pretty much like Psilocybe Cyanescens but I'd never count on that ID. I've found a couple of Cyanescens that looked like that (They've been pretty old and were covered over and over in spores of other Cyans). If it really were Cyans I'd consider them harmless to eat but 'cause you can't really be sure about what they are: DON'T EAT THEM! :smile:

plus the are as big as that nasty ass beer can. using a miller lite can as a size reference is as bad as using a pack of cigarettes., Go with something classy/gangsta or nothing at all. See below



As a size reference for cyans, these are a little small but only 1-2 cm's

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

ya, i found several small cyans looking the same. 3 small ones were completely blue, no other color on it..except the caps were wrotting and they didn't smell very good. anyone know why the weather has been really strange everywhere? is it global warming or some other cause?

it's a global agregate of weather pattern fluctuations that could be loosely called global warming, though it entails drout, increased percipitation, storms, warming and cooling conditions. yeah, that's what happens when you try to describe weather systems in a single term. anyway; yeah, the climate is changing at least a little.

ouch, that's rough...that's hard to look at, like a bad accident...it ain't just us suffering here with drought, it's front page news here in SF today

believe it or not, and like the article said, there's still time left this year, although even if it starts dumping rain soon, many spots won't come back....some will tho...I have seen this happen before

it's not exactly like the PNW where once it freezes hard a few times the seasons over, but it's not like the beginning of Fall either..


we've been suprised before here
