The striate margin definitely makes them look more like something I’d expect to see in section Mexicana. The gills however look adnexed to me and the stipe does look pruinose which still makes me think pans. I’m not ID guy so I’m really just wanting to give em a proper go. My growing situation is somewhat hampered at the moment but I got some LC with these that I’m going to try and do something small in.

Trippy, am I understanding correctly? You yielded 300g fresh of shrooms 3-5X the potency of cubes from 1 qt of MS spawn in 1 flush

Not sure how much I'll even want to grow cubes if my my first pan flush is comparable to yours haha. Gathering the last couple items for my JCM FC today

As for if they are pans and how active they are I have no idea. Zifo zonked is the man to ask.
I know he has grown them out too.

The most mature fruit has started to drop spores and they appear black on top of their Neighbour’s caps. I will definitely try to print some caps.

I think Zifo was trying to get Alan to ID them. Maybe Jake can sic his PCR machine on them. Let me know if you want some test material Jake.

Yeah man 1qt of spawn from MS. I can't comment on the potency yet but if they are as good as everyone says they are then I don't have any reason to grow cubes anymore either. I have only had pan cyans before and the trip is sooooo much better. More visuals, less anxiety, less nausea

I'll update with the dry weight total in a couple hours.

ya psilo,pasty and everyone else im also extremely curious about those as well and il be lookin fwd to more info on them. those are very unique indeed and the mexicana is a good way of describing that look of the caps. the stems say pan all the way tho. no matter what its still a cool lookin fruit

I had a wild coast tub that had caps like those with the lines but they were super wet the whole time.


When I saw that picture the first thing I thought was Jalisco too, definitely awesome looking.




Awesome grow trippy, they’re gonna blow some minds. Just be ready to see like 14-16g when they dry, those jams are always water heavy.

Yeah I agree with the trip being qualitatively better than cubes in most aspects, but when it comes to nausea Pans are giving me the most by far, maybe it's because of the serotonin :shrug:

Woodlovers are the easiest for me to digest with mostly non nausea at all, semilanceata giving me a bit of tummy discomfort, same for cubes
but with Pans my come up yawns often turn into gagging unfortunately, even with tea. But the 20 min of nausea are worth it still.
