when i clone il take several samples per clone due to the fact not all of them will always take or be clean. these are the tissue plates of the nec d clones i am working on now
see what i mean yuck🤢
after 1 transfer from each one i had this that i could work with as you see i already have a fuck ton of shit to work with here so if these first 3 work out that i just cased and the potency is on point il stick with them and eventually get down to my best possible fruiters and slant them. however if they are weak as they were before the whole heap is goin in the trash bin.
just practice is all you can do. if possible i try to take a sample from the inner meat where the cap n stem meet but otherwise il take a string or 2 like jake said. but stick with it man eventually ul get the hang of it

Mycelium grew on the grain and was mixed with hay-manure, then planted and covered with soil.

Looking beastly How easy are those to harvest? Are they attached firmly to the sub or can you just twist n pull?

re: cloning, I got like Asura said, the whole damn plate was covered with slime and liquid the next day, like the bacteria was liquefying the agar or producing a ton of metabolites. Never had that happen before! Probably doesn't help that the mushrooms are usually wet as hell from the FC. Maybe I'll let them hang for a while first to dry off a bit.
I just spotted pins in a new tray so I'll get a chance to try again soon...

Do you apply another layer of casing after each flush? patch a few areas? or nothing? you don't soak the substrates between flushes like with cubes do you? My third flushes have been really small and fourth pretty much non existent. I feel like they are already depleted by the third flush. I think it was merlin I read in one of his threads that was getting really good fourth flushes too. I need to figure that out!
I guess it could be genetics? or maybe just the sub not having enough water anymore? I soak the top of the substrate after each flush. Maybe I will try switching up the substrate a bit more too. My straw added trays didn't seem to have any differences yet in terms of growth or yield, but only second flush coming through now so we'll see. I doubt it's going to help with yield or later flushes much at all though.

Those are awesome angam. My wild coast clones I'm running now are all short but beefy and with really red caps. I've never seen the pheno before.

These mushrooms are also very strong and with massive caps. And finally they give a solid harvest in the dry equivalent! Shrink 1:10.I am very happy!
