So I have some pans coming in - Made a post about them a few days ago (peace river strain). Tub is about 5 days in and appears to be close to full colonization. Going to give it another day or 2 so before I add a casing layer (peat x verm x calcium) - Asuras mix
Should I close tub lid again once I add casing layer to let it re consolidate before flipping lid and putting into FC? Should I be misting once I add casing layer?
As far as flushing goes...Simply harvest fruits, and give a generous misting to the tub and put back into fruiting conditions?

Any suggestions against these transfer spots I marked? Not too sure how to feel about the WC plates either
Haven't decided yet about fruiting. Considering a Martha setup, but I can't control temperature in the room it'll be in. I might end up using the jcm easy fruiting tek instead
Hey man. I understand WC is wild coast, what is CFL?

CFL is Central Florida. Great genetics and an easy one like Jambo.

Any insight on my question on flushes?
Pans dont seem to need a full dunking as far as I can tell..
Simple generous misting in between harvest and I'm good?
Been DIGGING through this threas and the Cultivating Panaeolus cyanescens thread and it's been a life saver. Thanks for your valuable input on the subject Asura

No, you're going to want to rehydrate your sub good between flushes. I dump a cup of water on the casing...maybe 4-6oz

no need to take out of tub and dunk though right? Just 6-8oz water pored onto casing and thats it?

No dunk. You just want to really saturate the casing. More like 4-6oz. I want the water to soak in through the top and try to avoid any going down the sides of the tray.

Is CFL a cambo?? That myc looks a lot like jams.
Do you guys get a lot of pan plates that grow out half the plate then stop and knot/stone up? All of mine except the jams do that.

Lol so I came back from holidays and spawned some month-old jars that were in the fridge to some old pasteurized substrate (around 20-25 days old) and this happened:

I guess we have some guests here. Coprinus, right? It doesn't smell deliciously Pans-like, so I may know what the odds are. In spite of it I'll let it roll and case it a couple days after 100% just to see what happens. Do you suggest otherwise?
Besides that, and most importantly, why do you think that fungi appeared there?

Didn't know that, thanks man. So what'd be the fix for that? I've had a couple grows before with the same batch of dung without any issue

better pasturizing, they survive a weak pasteurization cycle( refer to number 4 in workmans contam thread stickied at the top of the forum)

two of my second lot of tubs contamed, guess one of my LCs was bad.

I hope the other two are going to survive but something seems off, they kinda slowed down a bit, damn I wanted to take a couple of clones, should have taken some from the first tubs I did.......oh well
Maybe the second flush of this one is going to produce a candidate

Will probably go back to spores next time I dust off my SAB and it was a good run anyway, helped me understand these little guys a bit more.
