Hawaiian Copelandia Grow Kit - how much more difficult are they?
    #3574867 - 01/03/05 01:51 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

Hi,

I've done one kit so far (Golden Teacher) with okay results.
I can get a good price on 5 of these H C kits for ?99, but there is a warning from the manufacturer that they are more difficult to grow.

My question is, how difficult? I don't want to waste my money if I'm likely to struggle with them as a newbie, but they are on special! They come with a micropatch bag for the humidifying environment.

Hawaiian Copelandia Grow Kit
Stock - Good

The Hawaiian Copelandia Grow kit is finally here!

The Hawaiian magic mushrooms are the strongest you can get, and now you can grow them in your own home.

This is a harder mushroom to grow but comes complete with a micropore patch grow bag, and full instructions.

Price:  ?23.99

stick with the cubensis strains for a little while, copes are pretty tricky,
you may want to try growing from scratch using the PF tek first

okay, I'll just get one of H Cope and a few others to hedge my bets.

In my heated propagator, I can fit 2 kits under 1 plastic lid. If one kit went mouldy / infected, would it affect the other kit sitting next to it?

It's never safe to let mold grow next to healthy cakes/bags. But if you've got filter patches on the bags then it should be ok, But if one contamed then i'd remove it and seperate the 2 and clean out whatever you're holding them in. Good luck.

But I have to open the filter patches after a week or so.

Can the mould / infection travel around in the humid air, or does there usually have to be some sort of physical contact?

No contact needed for cross contamination. The stuff reproduces by puffing it's nasty offspring into the air. If something is tainted, don't even open the container in the house. If it's a container that you want to use again, hit it with bleach or the like while you are outside.
