The same reason I prefer warren. I actually like sanders politics better than warren but sanders supporters are such awful people I don’t want them to have any political power and sanders isn’t going to win and I’d rather support a winner.


Koods thats a bad reason to back Warren especially if you like Sanders policies more. Vote for policy not on how some of the supporters act.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Not voting Sanders, while admitting he has better policy, because his supporters were mean to you is basically just fucking the poor out of spite.

What’s funny is the Democratic establishment props up some of the worst people on the planet, and Sanders supporters are expected to hold their nose and vote for one of them, like Hillary.

But it’s okay to write off a candidate who, lets not kid ourselves, represents the opportunity of a generation, all because someone on twitter called you an idiot or something.

Almost like they just make up these excuses on the fly.

I think the toxic nature of his supporters is well understood. They are the reason Donald trump is president. Their behavior after sanders lost the nomination was abhorrent.

I know a lot of other democrats who think the same thing. They like sanders but his supporters make him unpalatable. That being said if he gets the nomination I would support him 100%  and that’s the difference. Sanders supporters will cry and sabotage the democrat if he doesn’t win.

And that attitude will get Trump re-elected. This about pragmatism and not a cult of personality. Cults of personality like sanders and trump have are horrible for democracy. Popularism is a cancer.

Liberals have to blame Bernie for Trump because otherwise they have to reckon with the fact that the DNC colluded with Hillary, propped up Trump, and then lost. Didn’t even campaign in Wisconsin for fucks sake. Meanwhile Sanders does 37 speaking events for Clinton in 12 days.

The Hillary staff, on the night of the election, began immediately drawing up talking points blaming Russian election interference for Trump winning. Don’t forget that we knew about the podesta emails and the Russian hacking before the election happened, Obama mildly condemned it as he didn’t want to appear to be interfering himself. Once Hillary lost the excuse was cemented.


In other words: yes, Russia “interfered” in our election, but it was only such a huge story to distract from the absolute failure of the entire democratic machine losing to Trump.
