It will be interesting to see if someone outside the "big three" does something to make a big noise. On the one hand I'm always the guy that says 3rd party does nothing except hurt the establishment party on their side of the political spectrum.

On the other hand, yeah let's make this interesting. There are all kinds of contingencies in these scenarios, and I don't want to see Trump reelected.

It would be cool if the right ran a decent 3rd party and the left did too, unless Bernie gets the nomination. Then I'm all about unification.

Could any of you see Mayor Pete as someone who you could all begrudgingly agree upon enough?

At the end of the day division wont win the election.
The decision will ultimately be the one perceived to be able to unify one side against another.

Itll be Pete as much as you dont want to admit it right now.

I would never vote for a moderate democrat.

That must take some serious will power to turn your back on your principles just to beat Trump.

I have my doubts about that.
Ive been saying for months that Hillary is probably gonna try to weasel her way in at the convention.  Its the explanation that makes the most sense for why 20 bums are even pretending to be in the race.  The plan is to dilute the vote enough that there can be no clear nominee in the first round at the convention, thereby doing an end run around the new superdelegate rules.

Maybe tulsi can goad her into playing her hand early.  That would be ideal for Bernie.  It would become a 2 horse race overnight. Probably not though.  Hillary is a professional

Nah, I don't think Hillary is going to do anything.

The only reason that she is still relevant is because donnie mentions her, on average, 2.56 times per day (that's once every 9 hours and 22 minutes!)

I'm thinking it's gonna be Warren over Bernie as well. I'd love to see a Warren/Bernie ticket, or Warren with Bernie as top advisor.

I don't really get this, a lot of the time.

Shouldn't it be baseline expected that high level elected government officials are smarter than the average newsperson?

From my perspective, that's like posting a video: "Watch this MMA champ DESTROY this toddler!!1!" Like, no shit. If the random ass news host has the brainpower to outwit politicians, they'd be a fucking politician, not a news host. Or, more likely, the news director/politician buyer.

I'd be more worried if the news host can destroy the politician, because that means the politician is either dumber than a bag of rocks or defending stupid ideas.

And that historically has always been the aim...finding what the politician doesnt want to answer then hammer time.

This isnt just a person behind a desk it is an entire team of what used to be credible and skilled people asking the questions that need asking.

It's a reflection on the ad hock nature of news reporting now.
