Dude that group is cool af.  I’m going to try again to find a glory hole to milk but I find it concerning this thread is slowing down. :uhoh:

When do these typically stop fruiting?

Milked my glory hole. Pulled a good 50 grs from one spot. Now back to Google to find another hunting location.

The term you're looking for is "honey hole".
Milking your glory hole would be something else entirely.

hahahaha fucking great milking that gloryhole

Usually early june. Once it gets too hot out. I think a few days in a row at 85 degrees ends it.

This season has been terrible and I think it’s pretty much over

Ugh don't tell me that brother, I still haven't found squat 😭😭 Granted I think there's quite a bit of temp difference between your neck of the woods and mine. It never even made it above 55 degrees here today

The worst season I’ve had since I started doing this. We had a big explosion but it rained for days and it was 90° and everything rotted. The bug issue is something I’ve never dealt with before. The fruits are being consumed as soon as they fruit. Terrible season.

Another good day in the woods.  Almost as much as last week.  This next flush after the warm spell and rain should be awesome.

Hate to hear that about your spots koods.  This weather coming should do a reset on the patches.  I’m sure you’ll find some good clusters.  It’s definitely not over.

Damn. That's a shame. Maybe the bugs will turn out to be a blessing
and become a great vector of transmission for the birds and other
animals.

This is a better pic.  About the same as last weeks haul.  In good seasons past I would get 2 or three hauls like this and then a big haul around the end of the month.  Fingers crossed.  I only get to hunt 1 or 2 days a week so I try to time it right.  A lot of the bigger fruits and clusters today were rotted so I took a bunch of them and planted them around in random spots lol.

I haven't been having a whole lot of luck this season, mostly some small fruits and no large clusters.  Im hoping that the bigger flushes are still to come and Im thinking this rain should definitely help.  Im in SEPA if anyone wants to meet up for a hunt that would be awesome, good lucl to all this season.

Glad your still finding some around!  :super:
I love how they work themselves thru vegetation and other things on the ground.  Their stems can get quite long sometimes.

I know the phenotype you find has been fairly reserved this yr so far, but we still have another 3 weeks in the season and a cold front to reset everything.  I'm pretty optimistic about what is to come, as long as the moisture is there.

Looks like your doing pretty good so far.  Loving the pic with the cap uplifted and showing off gills!

Had some luck up in PA today.  Saw a couple nice small clusters and randoms here n there.  There was also a good amount of pins around, so later this week should be a sure thing.  Also, had a chance to stop by and check on our project patch.  Three out of the four setups had around 20 fruits each.  Not sure why one of the stick piles isn't really doing anything other than a couple small ones.  Going to mulch them here soon though, so maybe that will help out and get things going for it.

Here's a couple things we came across today.

It's good to hear that you replace them. Especially since you're foraging near me. I like to print every other cap that I find, and when I go out, I rotate spots while spraying spore solutions. this method works great!
I started doing this last spring, and carried on through the summer and fall. This year has been amazing compared to last year. I would like to think I had something to do with it. Evidently, I did, because in some places, they grew in a line as if they were all placed there. ..and in the exact places I sprayed. This also helped me to find them better, because as I was looking for a good inoculation point to spray, I would find them growing there.

That sucks, man, but it's going reasonably strong here. MushroomWilly and I found lots and lots of little fruits in the grassy areas and a reasonable amount of big ones here and there, mostly off logs. There was one area that was down to little fruits and I decided to move on but just couldn't stop finding little ones and picking them for like 20 minutes. I found more today than I got all of last year.

This is 860 grams fresh.

I replied to this under someone else's reply. Phunky.. anyway, it's good to see people planting and replacing near me. That makes 100 percent of us as far as I know. Everyone I teach, learns to respect the biosystems. Gotta make plenty of prints to check them anyways. Might as well make spore slurries too. It's easy to do. And it works if you do it when they are in fruit. Incidentally, it makes them easier to find too. Because you are looking for a good place to plant them, you're automatically looking for a place they are already growing!
