I'm going back out today again. If I find anything I'll update. Hopefully the creeks and river have gone down enough here. They have been twice as high as normal from the storm on Friday. Wish me luck guys. If they are popping in Maryland then they should be in PA today or immediately.

Hey Yumeryu! You're where the susquehanna branches meet? I used to live there too? Selinsgrove area! Any luck yet? Feel free to msg. I'm up in luzerne county now. I've had mushrooms many times, but this is my first crack at hunting

Selinsgrove is the place. No luck yet but I don't know if they are even blooming here yet. I'm still hunting. The river is still super high from Fridays storm. I plan on hunting everyday, just a matter of finding the right place. I'm searching Penn's creek and middle creek and will go to the Susquehanna as soon as it drops enough. If you ever get back up this way I'm all for getting together and hunting.  If I find any places I'll share. I've wanted to try psilocybe for 20 years just never had a chance. Spent all last year hunting and learning what to hunt for so this year I have faith I'll find something. I'll keep looking regardless.

I found a bunch this morning in a slightly different kind of habitat in the Chastain area of Atlanta. Creekside, the county built a small platform where you can look out over the creek and these were growing on all the sloped areas on either side of the path up to and down from the pavilion.

In that picture, my hat is where I saw the first few.

I didn’t see any on the way in but walking back I found a bunch. When I’m walking a new spot (this was the very first time I’ve been to this one, I’m just picking spots on a map at this point) I take the same route there and back rather than choosing to take a route that is a loop. So many times I will see things on the way back that I overlooked the first time through.

Took the stem butts to one of the parks department’s woodchip hordes near me and spread around judiciously.

Coming soon to many public works landscaping installments near you, fellow ATLiens.

Very nice, glad to see they’re coming up. And also glad to see a lot more Pennsylvanians in the mix! When I went out and about up in my neck of the Susquehanna, this was Saturday, it seemed like not enough mycelium had formed, maybe it was too close to when it had rained, or the water had rose too high and was covering all the formed spots. Oh well.

I’m back more towards outlying towns of philly, and been checking flood plains I’m getting good at dialing in where they may be, but just a bunch of myc

Ok guys. I found some coprinoids while I was out and these. Are these it? Taking a spore print now.

I know they are small which gives me doubts but they seem to be the right color and such.

The river is still super high from Fridays storm. I'm guessing it's at least five times higher than usual yet. The flood plain areas of the Susquehanna in my area are flooded. Hope the water goes down soon.

No blue staining, stipes aren't right, and gills that are shown in your pics are the wrong color.

So the gills aren't a cream to white color? Am I looking for blackish or dark brown? What about the Stipe is wrong? Help me better understand.

I finally put rock creek on the map. It was one of the last major waterways I’d had no luck with.

doctorghosty,  Nice finds!!  That's awesome you guys are finding them more and more this yr.  :super:

Went back to the early spot we hike thru and had a wonderful day.  Ended up coming across some new logs and found a bunch hiding throughout a nettle area.  Needless to say my hands are definitely feeling it after today's outing.  A lot of stuff is drying up and if it weren't for the vegetation would be really dry.  Looking forward to the next system and the clusters that will follow.  Saw lots of pins as well, so as soon as the sky falls they will pop up.  I hope to see everyone's patches exploding with clusters in the coming weeks.  Good luck out there everyone!!

TexturedSounds man the shit you find is always awesome.  Those crazy ass PA ovoids look like they’re from space and just fruit right up out of the logs like they own the damn place.

Nice finds guys, I have been looking in western pa and the most I’ve found is morels but if they are up the voids probably are too, I’ve seen a few people post pics of patches they found around Pittsburgh but they must have more luck/dedication than me. I’ve been limited in time lately but this weekend I’ma go hard. Even took a trip to va last week but after a few hours of hunting all we found in the floodplains was some lizards and a box tortoise and my wife was getting beat so we drove over to the beach and partied the rest of the weekend. I wanted to have a look on the way home but ended up having to go straight to work after an 8hr drive, worth it tho the beach on 4/20 is lit all we smelled all day was pot

No luck today either.  Went to what I hoped would be where my spot got washed to today.  I dubed it debris island, located on a river bend that I had to Wade across the river to get to.  Seen 2 Gardner snakes sun bathing, found some oysters off a branch in 1 of the debris piles & some deer tracks.

My focus wasn't so much on the debris piles but on the Sandy growth around them that hasn't been under water recently.  Checked the other side of the park where it could possibly be some = stinging nettle & breirs.  So lastly I drove to my spot only to find some Mycelium growth & dryad saddle.  Would post some pics but this is an ovid page not snakes, debris pile, flower, etc photo shoot.
