Thanks! out of curiosity what species are all those agrocybe's around em usually? they look REALLY similar and grow on the same substrate.

So I spent last year learning as much as I can. I'm confident enough this year that once I find them I can identify them especially with you kind folks. So my plan is to hunt near lakes streams and other waterways and high water zones. Also looking for dead wood and logs. Is this the right sort of areas to be hunting? If they came up in Maryland a day or two ago it means Central PA is about to be popping. This is the year I find and try them.

went out yesterday ,still another week or two in this area for a good flush .waste to go out now ,just to trample what you cant see in the mid atlantic ,alot of washed out areas .

Was the "early spots" that are fruiting flood last year? I'm assuming so according to that tree dam pic but was it badley flooded?

Took me 3 years to find my 1st & they were at the end of that season. You'll know if & when you find them. They are very distinctive in the factor of bruising & smell.

I appreciate that. Gives me hope that I'll know when I find them. I have lots of time to go out everyday and hunt which I plan to do.
