They find you sometimes in my experience. I take my girl hunting with me now, she's a good luck charm.  I almost always find more when she's with me. I wonder if I should get out and look. I'm in Ohio. The temps have been good only for about ten days now, but man we've gotten a shit ton of rain this winter/spring.

Hoping for a great year.  I just think Ovoids are just so much better than cubes from the closet.

Tomorrow or the next day should be day 1 for me. We've had a couple days of rain, it's not been below about 45 at night for a while now and it's about that time.

Here's hoping I come back late tomorrow night with an assload of pics and a huge bag of Ovoids!

Should we be expecting some MD and DC area finds in the next couple days?  Gas is expensive and I've been waiting since June 20th. Ex left and scared the shit out of me so the years reserves got tossed.  Also, the reason for the new screen name.

cool coincidence running into you two on Saturday, Tazer & Jaybob.  good to meet a couple more cool shroomerites.


my hunting partner and I observed about 215 mature specimens during a long, awesome Saturday in the floodplains.  found two new spots, confirmed the early fruiting of another, previously known spot, and like I said, had the good fortune of an unexpected meetup with two more shroomerites. 

would have been a perfect Saturday had both my camera and my partner's camera not had dead batteries...thus, no pics this time. 


good luck everybody...not long before everyone is deep in the ovoids.

A couple three fruiting in the junk this morning



Still hunting/waiting to find a big flush. I could swear I smelled them in a spot where I couldn’t locate any. These guys are rascally tricksters.
